Could Samuda Start?

I like the way Samuda handles himself on the field. He seems to know his assignments and handles his position well. Does anyone think he could be A) Moved to RG or B) Start at Center and move Pouncey to LG. What do you guys think?
 
I totally agree, he plays with attitude, I would love to see him moved to 1st string RG for the falcons game to see how he does. Obviously Martin is the problem on the OL, and that isn't going to get fixed for quite awhile, but I DO agree Samuda would be an ungrade at RG.
 
I agree on Samuda--he is looking interesting. Like his quickness and he seems to play with good leverage. I haven't seen enough of him with 1's to know if he is ready. I know this: the O Line needs an infusion of something.

Man the run blocking was just embarrassing. Then Martin and Murtha at tackle couldn't keep Tanne upright. Just a hideous performance. Martin was disappointing because I kept hearing that "Martin is better than we thought he would be." I still like Martin's frame and potential but they need to get him coached up. I like that he is getting a ton of snaps to work out the kinks. But he was flat embarrassed last night.

Jim Turner and Philbie better roll up their sleeves, get in that room and get them figured out. Artie Hicks was ok in pass pro but no push in the run game. Something needs to be done with this group. I am sick of this every year with this unit.
 
I liked the fact that he didn't seem to mind having a big ol' cack and balls on his head for a practice.

There is absolutely no running lanes so far after two preseason games. I know change can cause some early negatives but its been really bad so far for running the football.
 
Wouldn't have a problem with them starting Samuda, but clearly they decided early who they want to be their starting 5 and to drop any of that 5 in practise would be a big deal. Pouncey and Long are the only ones that you would say are clear locks at the minute.

Nice idea. I was thinking the same thing.
 
They also, probably do not want to do all of the shuffling that we were all upset with Sparano about doing.
 
ehhh...he looks a little stiff getting out to the 2nd level on screen plays...i expected him to be more athletic...i say let him marinate as depth for a while...god knows i'd like to get incog out of left guard but i don't think this kids ready
