I'm beginning to think that terrel owens wouldn't be a terrible option for our team. If we were to sign TO and keep ricky, i believe that would more possible option than other theories suggested recently. Gus has the arm to air passes out and TO is a huge reciever that can make people better just as a good qb can make average recievers look better. Granted, he has quarterback issues, but i wouldn't say andy reid is much of a controlled coach; he seems more lax. I believe nick could make all this work and it seems with recent speculation he may be thinking this way. just my opinion.

TO would make Gus better, no question. the first week or so will be nice. THEN that next week TO might only get a few balls thrown his way, then he'd start in with the whole, "our QB sucks" and then our teams moral goes in the toilet. Those few glory moments arnt worth it. Chambers will make Gus and whole ever we draft this year look good enough

my thoery on TO is and Im going along with what Michael Irvin said today on 790, that with TO in the lineup they will leave single coverage on chris and randy. Good for them bad for TO. Along with that is RR in the backfield. With TO, defenses would have their safeties fall back to cover the deep threat and then they run it to RR or vise versa. I hope TO is smart and signs a one year deal, is good for the season simply to boost other teams interest and get that big contract he wants. I truley hope he does that but instead of trading after one year. I mean why would you leave a team and not resign after they win the superbowl!!! :D What do you guys think?

Ferotte has NO ACCURACY at all

T.O. WILL NOT help out Gus's accuracy issues

and T.O. WILL NOT help raise Gus's QB rating either

Ferotte is what he is

a borderline average backup QB who can barely cut it as a starter

very good point, I was just about ot post that myself. I dont know if many of you know this but jay fiedler had an 80 sumthin % winning average as a starter, and chris was never a pro bowler. now i know he is more developed as a wide out but I think if gus was as bad as alot of people think he wouldnt be in hawaii. We did have like the what 14th ranked passing offense right? Or was that overall?

Your right, not quite the worst. Just 27th out of 32....

T.o. makes everyone better, that is assured. what the drop off of donovan mcnabbs play this year without T.o.

I don't disagree he did.. But if you remember, he was almost ignoring CC till Sage came in and threw him that 70 yarder!!! So give Sage credit for the idea of making CC a pro bowler. Owens makes EVERY offense better. Even one with Gus at the helm. But won't matter cause he'll be taking tosses from either Farve, Culpepper or Cutler.. Peace.

Well, you know how Gus had 5 or 6 overthrown deep balls in the first 4 games ?? Well, he'll have 5 or 6 underthrown ones to TO and the fireworks will begin...What makes you think Gus, after 12 years is going to suddenly become a more accurate QB ?? Might there be more opportunities for the offense to succeed ?? Absolutely...can Gus make the opportunities pay off...I doubt it. He couldn't do it last year.... That's the issue with WR, we actually had the opportunities for a better passing attack, but Gus couldn't get the passes completed...That won't change with TO...

yeah gus is the reason why CC dropped all those passes! they were like 50 feet over his head man! :boohoo: Gus sucks man! Thats why Saban will keep Gus man! Because he is so inaccurate! Saban must really like inacurrate QB's man!

Gus will show he is a good enough QB to get the job done with the talent around him. But its not like he has all season to prove everyone wrong and change all the peoples minds who only remember certain things and forget all the rest of the problems this team had.
