The last two games, the only games that he has play in, our RB D Thomas is running pretty well. Averaging 4.9 yard per carry and 20 carries a game.

I can semi understand why we did not try to power run inside the 10 yard line against the Patriots since we were using R Bush as a feature running back.

But in the last two games and really against Cleveland last week, within the 10 yard line we have been not even considering running the ball. We are lining up the the Shotgun.

Just maybe it is not the best idea so put everything on Chad Henne, he is not P Manning, he is Chad Henne. IMO, we should always try to run first, then throw PA passes if we have to.

Until our pass blocking improves, our QB's accuracy or at least, his decision making improves and out WRs are able to get open in the endzone, maybe we should run a little more.

At least do not go to trying to be a pure passing team when in the redzone.

I'm not sure. DT messed up with that fumble against Houston, so that game was probably a lost cause - but I definitely think we could have won against the Browns if he got more carries. He needs to be the goal line guy.

It the defense had balls when it counted, and if the offense had balls when it counted, the team would be 2-1.

Coulda Shoulda Woulda. Everybody wants DTrain to get more touches, especially in the redzone....except the Dolphins.

How soon fans forget we have had good backs and have nothing special to show for it. I just hope Thomas isn'tthe second coming Ronnie Brown on these boards. Maybe folks would of learned to wait for real success before raising these guys up on a pedestal.

Ronnie Brown was only raised to a pedestal when fans thought (based on the opinion of a guy who may have seen 1 practice) that Miami had no runner. Either way, Thomas seems to have a real gift for running the football. He's not gonna be Chris Johnson, Larry Johnson, or Ricky in his prime, but maybe he can be a guy you can depend on to get near 100 yards on 20-25 carries, and that's all you really need.

You might be on to something. We can't pass block but we seem to be able to run block. I'm down with a run first offense with what we have.

We might be 2-1 if Sparano was fired last year like he should have been.

And then that coach would lose a couple games and people would be calling for his head too.
Only if he doesn't draft a QB first round, in which case I'll be calling for his head immediately.

For future reference, "couple" means two. Sparano has lost three this season (of three), which are added to his 18 over the past 2 years, most of which were at home. So, it appears the people calling for his head have been 100% right.

True, probably the only reason that I've turned against Sparano is the failure to address the QB position properly. But sadly the decision to draft Henne wasn't even his initial call, it was a guy who turned tail on his own mess a while ago.

Lets not act like its a few games

first year 11-5 awesome
second year 7-9 ok maybe growing pains
third year 7-9 1-7 at home wtf
4th year 0-3 0-2 at home

yea we have a right to want his damn head

since first year he has been 14-21
