Could we be 2-1 if D Thomas had been given 12 more carries?

True, probably the only reason that I've turned against Sparano is the failure to address the QB position properly. But sadly the decision to draft Henne wasn't even his initial call, it was a guy who turned tail on his own mess a while ago.
I don't buy it. According to most of his supporters, Sparano isn't actually responsible for anything and never has been. It's always Parcells, Henning, the ST coach whose name I've blocked from my memory, etc. Apparently he just stands on the sidelines and fist pumps, and even that may be the responsibility of somebody else. Maybe the waterboy. In that case, there certainly isn't any harm in getting rid of him since he doesn't actually have any say in anything.

Lets not act like its a few games

first year 11-5 awesome
second year 7-9 ok maybe growing pains
third year 7-9 1-7 at home wtf
4th year 0-3 0-2 at home

yea we have a right to want his damn head

since first year he has been 14-21

Dude, I saw people saying he should be fired in 2009. He has reached the point where it's reasonable now (and had at the end of last year), but that doesn't change that people had turned tail on him as early as after the Colts game in 2009. And just because he has sucked afterwards, that wasn't foresight then, it's being fickle.

Trust me, at the same time people were calling for Sparano's head, they were also calling for Pennington to be benched in favor of Henne.

If Reggie wasnt the one getting the carries taken from DT then yes I fully believe we would have won the Browns game had we not wasted downs on Reggie he doesnt do **** when he gets the rock

why we aren't using reggie to create mismatches is beyond me... thats all we heard about him and all we do is pound him up the middle (though the one counter play where he just dropped the ball looked like there was gonna be A LOT of room to run)...

we need to be giving him swing passes, moving him in motion in the slot and get him on a LB, not just pounding him up the middle trying to make him something he is not...

I said it and I stand by it! After the Saints collapse I called him a failure and he would never win big games! I was right and everything I have said about him has been spot on it wasn't premature it was DEAD RIGHT!

After the Saints collapse I first began to worry that our QB (not our coach) didn't have what it took.

Agreed we should of ran the ball down the Browns gut.
It's beyond any comprehension why we didn't let Thomas loose.
He averaged 5 yard per carry.
Go figure...

In two games, D Thomas is averaging 4.9 yards per carry. I think his longest run was about 14 yards but he does not lose yardage.

In 3 games, R Bush is averaging 2.6 yards per carry. His longest run has been only 13 yards.

This going into the Shotgun at the 10 yard line and relying on our QB to win games reminds me of Cam and even a bit like Saban's time. With Saban, Ronnie Brown was being held to 18-19 carries a game. And with Cameron, when the game was on the line or we needed a first down or a TD he would turn the game over to Cleo Lemon. Ronnie Brown was running for 5.6 yards a carry but he had Cleo Lemon throw for a 1 yard first down or a 1 yard TD. And of course, we went 1-15

In the Saban days we always seem to have a patchwork OL. And like now it did a better job of run blocking then pass blocking. Yet we would try to pass a lot and our QBs would get clobbered.

Chad Henne is not running because he wants to, he is running for his life. You then have Brandon Marshall admitting that he does not have great hands or runs very good pass routes (if he knows this, why is he with the coaching staff not working on it?).

Poorly run routes destroy timing in the passing game. The OL breaking down and allowing pressure destroys timing. Not having even one RB who can pass block does not help.

We need to start trying to punch the ball in. Worse that can happen is that we only make a yard or so which is better then being sacked for a loss or throwing a interception.

Going into the Shotgun also ruins any chance of a play action pass.

If and when Chad Henne gets a little more accurate, if and when our OL can pass block for a whole 4 seconds, and if Marshall can start running crisp patterns, then we should try to pass more in the redzone.

Chad Henne is not Brady or Manning, he is Henne. But on the other hand, our rookie RB D Thomas is..well...D Thomas.

So let's run until they stop us, that was always been my creed.

P.S. On the screen pass that Thomas took for a TD, did you see Colombo almost get Henne killed again? 8 times out of 10, that play fails.
