Could the dolphins trade up enough to get Matt Leinhart(sp?). I mean look at the texans they dont need a QB or RB. Maybe we can convince them to trade down with us. Or maybe in a 3 team trade where we trade our 1st and 2nd to get someone elses 1st. Then use that and next years 2nd to get houstons 1st and 2nd. Cost us 3 draft picks but it would be worth it In my opinion. I really see this as a possibility because houstons needs are not in a position where it may be justified to take a 1st overall pick. Bad thing is that the cap would just kill us to have a 1st and 2nd overall pick signed.

I don't really want to trade up because that means we will be paying huge for the player and we will have to give up draft picks! I like when Saban has a lot of draft picks he can really do good with it! Proven last year!

i really dont wanna lose that many draft picks but if we could trade up a lil i'd be down maybe get a top 10 top 5 pick

I would hope that they don't trade up and pick up a more athletic qb than Matt. Not for nothing but he doesn't impress me all that much and I don't think he'll be another Carson Palmer type qb. I'd love to see us get a qb with more mobility and less pocket stiffness...

The Texans may take Lienart anyway if they have given up on Carr but more than likely they will take Bush for the value. Who knows they may trade out of the 1st spot if they have it to accumulate picks.

I think it's possible......not like we have a huge history of Saban drafts on which to judge how he would approach it. Last year it appeared that he would have preferred to trade down...but who knows....every draft is different.

I would support a trade up to get Lienart, Young or Quinn if available, but that's it.

Texans will draft Reggie Bush. Miami would need to trade to the third spot.

Totally agree. The Dolphins need to draft wisely, regardless of their spot in the order. There are no guarantees in the draft. As it stands now the Dolphins will pick somewhere in the middle of the pack. My preference would be that Dolphis acquire draft picks, not trade them away.

Team is too old and has too many holes to trade up

You do not suceed with a nice rookie QB, no secondary, not enough LBs, an average O-line and just 1 WR.

Id just rather not have Matt leinart, he isnt the best QB in the draft, and I see bust written all over him, the only way Id take him is if he is available at 15 which he wont be, trading up for him would be a bad move

If anything, I would like to see Saban trade down and pick up more draft picks, I don't want to morgage the future for this guy.

I agree. I dont think miami is necasarily set on drafting a qb early first day. Saban really needs to make this defense his own and start getting in his own players. We need LB,CB, S, and depth all along the D-line. I think the reason we are getting and looking at young qb's pre-draft is so we aren't forced into a situation where we have to draft a qb and can really take bpa. The only way i see us getting a qb in the first rd. is if there is absolutle crazy value for the guy and he is the best player on there board. Mueller feels he gets great value with later rd. qb prospects and there are some good mid-late rd. talent at the qb position. I say there is absolutley no way we trade up and a big possibilty we won't draft qb in rd. 1.

If you buy Saban's philosophy being the same as Bill Billicek (spelling...I know) of New England then I say not much chance in it. Billicek loves draft picks and you usually only see NE moving down on draft day...not up. I seriously think the Fins COULD trade Ricky to the 49ers for a 2nd rounder and then see Saban move down in the 1st and grab an additional 3rd...then finally grab Cutler somewhere in the 20-27 pick range. THAT would be a very productive way to obtain picks and solve our #1 need...QB!
