Cowboys @ Dolphins

Planning on going to the game with a buddy of mine (Cowboy Fan) and friends.

Need to know when would be the perfect time to purchase tickets (6 of them) without getting raped on the price.

Had a blast in '02 Chicago @ Miami in a downpour, but kinda got screwed on the ticket price, too embarrassed to say how much.

Please help.

You can scalp tickets before the game, some under face value. I have been going to Fin games 20 years, never pre-purchased tix. Get there early and walk around, you will find people selling.

Wait till just after the game starts and you'll get them for a fraction of the cost, but you'll miss part of the game which does suck especially if your in miami. Look for guys with signs that say "I need tickets"

That's normally good advice, but the Cowboys haven't been to Miami since 1996, which coincidentally was the largest crowd ever for a Dolphins game (record still stands I believe). Of course JJ was the coach in his first year here, but it still makes sense to believe this game will be extremely popular. So, waiting until gameday may be risky. But, 20 years with good luck is hard to argue against.

I'd sell you some tickets if you weren't taking a cowboy fan with you ;-).

The second tickets go on sale with Ticketmaster is when you need to make an attempt to get some. I believe that happens in June or July.
