Sorry if this has been posted before but I was out of town and am now just trying to look over some basic information. Does this interest anyone? Especially those who wanted to trade down for 2 1st rounders. What do you think? Do you think we'll stay where we are now? Of course it really doesn't matter what we think. We must have faith in BP and Company.

Mac Engel, of the Star-Telegram, reports the Dallas Cowboys are unlikely to trade up for University of Arkansas RB Darren McFadden in the 2008 NFL Draft, according to NFL sources. The Cowboys believe they will not trade up because owner Jerry Jones does not want to be in the top 10 picks because of the cost.

I'm glad really. I hope we use that #1 on Chris Long or Dorsey. Players like them don't come every year and we need to stop the run and either of those guys would do that. I am hoping for Chris because he can do many more things than Dorsey like stand up and pass coverage and also give us a book end for 11-12 years.

The members here who have their feet planted firmly on the ground, beat them to the punch long ago. :)

Since when has Jerry Jones been afraid of spending money? If the Cowboys do not trade up for McFadden it will be because the cost in players, not money, will be too much.

This time of year, lies abound! The espionage, the smokescreens....I LOVE IT!!

the way I see it, If we stay at number 1 we get a "can't miss" guy.
If we have the chance to trade out, BP will jump all over it.

b/c in another site it said that the cowboys apparenlty are willing to break bank on Samuel. That should be a scary tandum, Samuel and Newman.

I beleive the trade can happen but it will require us takeing Spears and Carpender both former 1st round picks of Parcells and their salaries to happen. Carpender has not worked out and they could get rid of his salary and Spears they are looking to move because they have another player to replace him. We released Zach so Carpender could possibly help there though it is a big gamble, Spears at DT would really help us as he is a good not great player and if we can pick up their 2 first rounder we can draft an OT and QB in the 1st. Their cap would not get hit so hard as we absorb 4 1st round salaries of theirs plus on paper we get the trade value to move out of the 1st pick in the draft.

Any chance we could acquire Dallas' MLB, Bradie James? I do not have any financial/contractual information on him. He would be a great addition.

Wow, who could have ever guessed about this ground breaking news discovery?

Can't miss? Which player in the top 5-6 are "can't miss" players? Everyone has his good points and bad...most are not perfect picks for a 3-4. Dorsey, Ellis and C. Long aren't perfect for a 3-4...only if C. Long can play at Linebacker will he fit...and we'll find that out during the combine.
Ryan may be the top rated QB...but is that because of him...or the lack of the other QB's in the draft?

The only way Dallas drafts McBust is if me slides quite a bit. Even still, about the only player I would want Dallas to slide up for is Malcom Kelly.
