cowher on Tannehill

People in here keep trying to defend Tannehill (its only his 2nd year, he needs experience, bla bla). Look. He is decent. Steady. But nothing special. He will never make a Pro Bowl. You cant depend on his arm to win games. He has played 28 games...He is 13-15....He has 29td's in 28 games...26 int's...QB rating of 79.5... Look at Russell Wilson....46td's 16int's. 21-6 record..QB Rating of 102 in 27 games.....If people actually watched the games, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to know that Tannehill will never be a top tier QB. How long is it going to take? 5 years of mediocrity for some people to understand? I dont see any glimpses of a superstar in the making. Lets see if he is still in a Miami Dolphins uniform in 3 years.

He doesn't have the creativity that a Russell Wilson has but he has the chance to be every bit as good or better than someone like Joe Flacco or Matt Ryan.

I think Marino also said at this time that Geno Smith was "Bad" and Cowher said "Tannehil is bad too!! lolz" yes with the lolz as much as i hate to type that... thats how he thought of him

He not only does not have the creativity of Wilson , he does not have the offensive line or running game Wilson does... What he does have is. 1-0 record vs. wilson

I think you have it about right at this stage in Tannehill's career. I do think he will get better. How much better will be the key.

He'll get another year to show something, but I too am becoming more of a skeptic after almost two full years. I still hold on to more hope than you, but if he doesn't show drastic improvement next year, you have to think strongly about drafting another guy before you pony up that big contract on what would be an average QB.

Tannehill doesn't have the natural feel of the pocket or ball placement that you want to have. Too many head scratcher throws. Too many bad sacks taken. Too many points left on the board.

honestly tannerhill was not that good first half either.. the jets suck. next week will see where tannerhill is at.. that long ball is hurting him bad
he have to hit them guy wide open. the line give him time.

Who the hell is 'Tannerhill'?

I have hope. With another year and a upgraded OL. But if there is no improvement next year, we have our answer

Ask that ****er how he did in the 2nd half. Imagine a young QB being mechanical. How did that Kordell Stewart experiment worked out for him..

Kordell Stewart was 46-29 as a QB in Pittsburg. His last full year as a starter (2001), he was 13-3 during the regular season. They made it to the AFC Championship game where they lost 24-17 to the eventual Superbowl Champion and Tom Brady-led New England Patriots.

Kordell Stewart also made the pro bowl that year (2001).

Kordell Stewart was terrible and held that team back. Bill Cowher also got to the Super Bowl with Neil O'Donnell, didn't he? Neil O'Donnell was not a particularly good quarterback.

Wilson is just better. A real student of the game. He has much more experience playing QB. Give Tanny some time.

Do any of you who talk about replacing Ryan Tannehill ever stop to think that the team will have to find someone who can take the job away from him? The job is his until someone takes it away.

The way some of the people in this thread talk, it's as if you think Ryan Tannehill is being given starts or an audition for the starting job. He ALREADY is the starter, and it's because he's the best QB we have. He's probably the best we're going to have unless a top tier QB becomes available.

That's odd because to me, who has watched every snap of the last two seasons, i see continual growth. How you can predict that he will never be a top tier QB is mind boggling. He has a lot to improve on, I know. But youre too narrowminded.
