Just heard him talking saying that the insecurity is the reason the wildcat is being copied that it hasnt won anything and they coaches are scared of being fired if they dont try it and blah blah

i normally agree with im but not on this...its not a gimmick yes no one has copied the triangle but no one has had Michael an scottie or kobe and shaq...we run this better than anyone and i think its here to stay.

all of you have seen it...shotgun was a fad it still here....4 and 5 wide was a fad still here....zone blocking and zone blitzes and overload blitzes all were fads but are still around...they were seen as innovative but for some reason nobody sees the wildcat as a legit threat to be a new weapon for teams to use

people need to open their minds a new formation or new way of doing things is always bound to happen. Every sport has it..NBA three point line shot clock triangle O....MLB distance of the pitching mound, ball and strike counts, sliders curveball and off speed pitches

the wildcat is here to stay and one day will score a TD to win us something huge and that day we will have the ultimate i told you so....so much that we can print out business cards and hand them to any NFL fan we see.

GO FINS...and FIN FANS ENJOY THIS TWO WEEK JOY RIDE :woot:

i think the herd is mad cause he has picked the Dolphins 3 times in his "7 best bets of the weekend" and he have screwed him all three times.....he called the win surprising

well 90% of analyst didnt because we beat them up physically if you did what the dolphins did there is ZERO surprise

I personally don't care what the commentators say about us....we know we aren't one of the "chosen teams" by the mainstream media....they love the patriots, favre, and sanchez like they love the libs!

That's what happens when there are a million people out in the world whose job it is to make an opinion about a sporting event.

You won't get the same opinion from everyone

Yet Cowherd swings from the sack of Mike Leach and goes on and on about what a "genius" he is.

Talk about a gimmick offense.

It is not a gimmick it has been around forever like 50-60 yrs..., few teams have the personnel to run it - thats jealousy

Cowheard is an *** i usually respect his opinions but not today... he is contradicting himself if he's saying all those things about Leach... what a jerk!!!

I try not to listen to any of the analysts opinions, because, they always go against Miami and anything we do. Did you not see last TD of the game was out of the wildcat? How can that be a fad if we straight up won the trench fight and hammered the wildcat in for the final play?

On a side note, why does everyone have to write a freakin book in the OP? I don't get it, keep it short and simple folks.

I was listening to that. I sort of rolled my eyes. I think he just took a particular tack that he could make an argument for. I think one thing that we have in common with the Phil Jackson triangle is that we have David Lee, and, they had Tex Winter.

I like Cowherd....Notice how that topic only made it a few segments before he switched to Rush Limbaugh. He knows it was a weak argument.

I'm listening to him now. He's not saying anything good or bad about the wildcat, he's just saying that coaches in the NFL are mimicking the wildcat because they don't want to lose their jobs. He says the main reason is that the NFL coaching pension is $25,000 per month after 15 years in the league. He's just using the wildcat as an example of why the NFL is a copycat league.

IMO, he's all head and no heart (on this one). His reasoning makes perfect sense, but he's incredibly insensitive to the people who truly pour their heart and soul into doing the best job they can.
