These are our problems in the very order. This defense has regressed each year since Coyle has been in town. Aiken is constantly out of position and takes terrible angles to the ball. Taylor is as lazy as I've seen on the boundary. The guy isn't physical and honestly looks lost. Philbin seems like a nice guy, but has no idea how to lead men. We have all these weapons on Offense, but yet we start Greg Jennings? WTF?? Somebody needs to get a clue quick! Also, we may not want to defer on the toss on the road if all we are going to do is give the other team momentum right away. Last two games the other team gets the momentum and then we struggle to get it back. I haven't missed a game in over 10 years and these last two games have been some of the hardest to watch for me.

Solutions:
  1. Shepherd needs to be a back-up and Misi needs to be back in the middle.
  2. Thomas needs to start over Aiken. Aiken is not ready and it shows. Thomas has done nothing but make plays, but can't get the job?
  3. McCain on the boundary full time. Taylor has shown nothing!!
  4. Jennings needs to be the 5th option at best.
  5. I would like to see Fede starting. Vernon has not looked like a starter in my opinion. Fede sets the edge and brings better energy.
  6. Dump at least Philbin and Coyle at the end of the of the season.
 
Guess signing Mathis wasn't worth philbin's job. He deserves to be fired
 
Why is nobody blaming Vernon for his idiot foul at the end of the game? I would kick Vernon to the curb and replace him with Fede. I would sign Free Agents like maybe Carimi, Baker to play LT. At this point how much worse could they be?
 
Plenty of blame to go around but what good does it do? We still have the dame problems we had last year if not worse. No pass rush. Can't stop the run. Can't pass protect. Always come out flat to start the game. I could go on but wait...."you guys are over reacting"......is the same old dolphins

That right side of secondary with Aiken and McCain, oh boy!
 
Taylor is flat out the type of DB that I hate the most. He is out there over other guys because his coverage is more "safe" than more dynamic players, yet he nullifies the benefits of a "safe" player by making stupid penalties and he has no ability to play the ball so he will likely only get a turnover if he is a punt. I've seen these type of no-ball skills DB in Will Allen and Sean Smith roam the secondary of the Dolphins for years. The one thing I didn't see was a winner.

If you don't have the ability to generate a turnover as a DB, you will be exposed by good QB's come crunch time. A guy like Manning, Brady, or Rodgers simply throw through these guys all the time, and other QB's will too when forced to.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'd rather see a Will Davis out there.

Vernon made the loss a foregone conclusion, but it really had almost nothing to do with the absolute constant poor coverage from the defense. It's not a question of football performance you need to fix, its a question of stupid that has nothing to do with play.

With or without Vernon's push we had some issues to fix.
 
I loved Wake in his prime and still have much love for the guy but it may be time to move on and find a player that is effective on ALL downs vs 1-2 sacks on a 3rd down that's irrelevant. At the very least he is too inconsistent and weak against the run. I would be fine with Fede and Shelby replacing Wake and OV.
 
Just sucks that the talent we do have is going to waste because of Coyle's weak ass scheme.
