think of all of the unexpected things that have occurred/are occurring this season...

-dolphins of course
-titans 9-0 behind collins
-collapse of dallas
-success of atlanta & baltimore
-success of ryan & flacco
-weakness of AFC's big 3
etc etc etc...

cant say i mind.

Add in the craze that has been the wildcat. Although the formation isnt new, the sudden rampant leauge-wide use has been.

yea for real. not just us too, lots of teams are using it. wildcat has produced a TD pass TO Bobby Thigpen, and an almost TD to Joe Flacco. madness.

plus im sure theres tons of things im leaving out.

Flacco & Ryan playing well behind suspect lines is the 2nd & 3rd biggest surprises. Miami 5-4 is the biggest surprise, particularly for a whole team to turn around last years effort with a rookie HC.

Its definetly the most wide open league in a long time. Crazy to think that the two worst teams last season in Atlanta and Miami are now in contetion to win their division.

Major Kudos to Coach Sparano! What he is doing with this team is Coach of the year material!

The number one story by far is another darn undefeated team. I can't relax and enjoy the season until that variable is eliminated. I can't believe we've moved deep into November again. The Dolphins' success means nothing to me until the '72 feat is safe as uniquely perfect.

I get a chuckle remembering some of the reactions when I joined this site in '05 and expressed concern. Many posters here were applying the mocking smilies when I said the stats screamed the league was becoming more imbalanced, increased separation from top tier to the next tier, and that equated to more opportunity for someone to run the table. Well, the stats still indicate that. I'm not really worried but it's hardly a coincidence this is the NFL record 4th straight year with a team starting 8-0 or greater.

one thing that i would of told u that u were crazy a year ago is joey porter half way through the season with 12 sacks that amazing

It's great not getting the "wow, you must really be a fan" when I support my Phin dubs!

I still can't get over the fact that Arizona is now the power house of their division, maybe I'm just used to seeing them lose all the time when I was younger.....sorry that just still seems new to me

This is what we get now with parity. This is becoming the norm. Every year there are teams that come out of nowhere with new coaches, rookies, FA etc.
Add to the list:
AFC East looking like the best Div.

Same here. How old are you? ;)

Why not just focus on the team playing? I think it's tragic that you can't enjoy our teams success without the condition for that fandom being on the play of another team.
