Crazy B.P. and Ricky Williams article

Its hard to read past this quote; "Most Dolphins fans remember how Williams led the NFL in rushing in his first Miami season and forget everything else. The comings, the goings, the quitting, the toking, all are forgiven. All are judged as mere potholes that a talented pothead can, with increased resolve, learn to dodge."

This quote is so off the mark I dont know what could be more inaccurate. We havent forgotten ANY of this, NONE, of it! There are a vast amount of fans that still hold Ricky as irresponsible and worthless. All the writer had to do was come to finheaven and read ONE Ricky thread and he would have seen 50/50 fans like and fans hate him..

Just because we get great value and use him for only that does not mean what this "sole called" reporter is spewing about...These beat writers suck, especially this one!!!

The rest of the story, ill try to get through.

that article is shallow and pedantic

Agreed

Ya seriously, name one true dolphin fan that only remembers Ricky's glory days and none of his pot smoke suspension retired days and i'll show you someone who isnt a dolphin fan at all. And anyways, the guy who wrote that article must be absolutely retarded to think that Atlanta would even consider wanted Ricky after the whole off field drama with Vick, there only gonna get good off the field players from here on out.

I think he makes some valid points and if a deal to trade out of the number one pick hinges on throwing Ricky in there...adios Ricky.

I wanna see Ricky succeed here as much as the next guy, especially with the bargain basement price we are paying for him, but it definitely wouldn't hurt me as much as seeing Zach go if Ricky were traded.

All that being said, I don't think Parcells trades him just because of the value we're getting from him.

Not to mention Atlanta just gave a 6 year, 34 million dollar contract to Michael Turner and Jerious Norwood is a great backup.

Sorry but that quote was very accurate. And it's not 50/50; the majority of finheaven, about 80% of it, would want Ricky Williams back on this team because of his 2 year success here that happened 5 ****ing years ago. They still think he's very talented despite his age, despite missing 51 games since he ditched us, despite the fact that his better days are long gone.

Just wait for it, the Ricky ***** slap is going to come soon. How many welcome back radio shows does this guy deserve? How many chances can a guy get before all of you start to think "enough with this guy"? In a professional business, there are rarely 2nd chances. We let this clown come here, collect a check, and laugh at our back.

He is incapable to mature, and if he takes away carries from our best, more versitile and more skilled runningback, Ronnie Brown, I will be more pissed off with Sparano than I was with Cameron last year in the first two-three games last season.

Slippery Soap ? Seriously, To Forgive is To Love & I Love Ricky Williams & Brady Quinn ofcourse. Cannot leave him out of all of this.

I have no problem with Ricky being traded, or staying for that matter, but the scenario he suggests is ridiculous.
Think he has been playing Madden too much.

I believe there is probably zero interest in Ricky Williams from all 31 other NFL teams.
I can't see anyone thinking that including him on a trade would sweeten the deal in any way... he is simply too big a risk and hasn't proven he can do anything in since 2005.

The best hope for Ricky is to stay with the Fins, put in a full year showing he is still worthy of being on an NFL roster, and see what his value is next year.

I would love to know what the motivation is behind these crazy articles we get from the South Florida newspapers. The Dolphin bashing and outright nonsense being written about the team is off the charts. Are these guys just pressured to write SOMETHING no matter how silly it is? When reading other teams local papers there generally seems to be more solid information and less sensationalism and wild speculation. Anybody else think this way?

Can't say I disagree.
Although, there are some pretty good articles around at times.

I think this article is stupid. No one would give up anything for Ricky. At this point RIcky has more upside than not. He has to play football for money. He loves football and theres a chance he could still have something in the tank. Thats all upside that no other team will recognize and pay us for. Since he's here we have to use him to our advantage. PLus why get ricky when u could get alexander for cheaper??

I disagree wholeheartedly... I have seen just as many posts for the hating Ricky than I have for accepting him. (I dont care what we do with him either which way)
