Let's suppose for a minute we want to trade out of the 1st pick overall (due to the financial commitment) but find no takers. Let's also suppose we have both of the long's graded the same. Is it possible for us to do what the Vikings inadvertently did a couple of years ago by letting the time elapse during the draft, allow some team to jump in front of us until one of the long's are drafted and we just jump back in and take the other long and save some money in the process? The idea just popped in my head and I'm not sure if its possible @ all.

Someone brought this idea up (i think it was soapy or something was the name) and I thought it was a decent thought, even though people bashed him for it.

Problem is that whoever we select will still want #1 money. And they would have a legitimate argument if we did that. So it wouldnt work. But, good to see people thinking outside the box. Decent thought. If it would work we should actually let Stl. select and then take Matt Ryan before Atlanta does. Would be great to pay him #2 selection money.

does this same exact thread come up like every 3 or 4 days?

For the record, this is the first time I have ever thought of it or seen it so if its been posted previously, its pure coincidence. I have better things to do than rip off other people's ideas and take credit for them.
