3. Miami is the beast of the East.

I'm not concerned about what happened Thursday night. Who's going to go into Pittsburgh and win in that situation? The Steelers' defense is a bad matchup for a lot of teams. Look at what it did to Cincinnati and Indy's offenses in the playoffs and both of those teams' offenses have to be in the top five in the league.

My only concern about the Miami Dolphins is the running game. Will they get enough help from Ronnie Brown? I like him. I think he's a good runner, but the issue is that offensive line. Is it good enough to help Brown get four yards a carry?

But when you look around the AFC East, who's going to knock the Dolphins off? The Patriots? You still have Tom Brady, but that team has had too many departures and is starting to get old. Besides, look at Miami's schedule. The Dolphins have a real light schedule.

As for anyone saying Daunte Culpepper can't read zone defenses, they know nothing about football. After playing with him, I can tell you that he's a smart guy who has no problems reading defenses. All quarterbacks throw balls into coverage. On one of the interceptions in Thursday night's loss, he had a defensive lineman flash in front of him and the ball sailed into the secondary. On Joey Porter's pick, that was just a great play by the defense. And defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau has been able to get his defenses to do that since he's been in the league.

Someone has a bit of optimism that's been lacking on the forum these days. But he's got a point, especially with his analysis of the OL and putting the game in perspective of the Colts and Bengals previous performances. And if anyone knows Culpepper, it should be him. I just hope he's right that we can overtake the Pats.

I put alot of stock in Cris Carters' opinion since he actually played with Daunte.

That and he knows some of the Dolphins who were on the team when he was still around especially Chambers who he likened to Randy Moss. But of course any random guy who's watched at least 1 Dolphins game or highlight can tell you our OL sucks.

It's really depressing that anybody who has the perespective on what week one means in the long run of a 16 game season is such a rare thing.

I just saw that post of the Porter INT video and articles from supposed journalist that make it seem like it's the end of the world and we should re-sign Feidler.

I had no respect for Porter, but after yesterday's game, I now have a lot. That pick he made on Culpepper was ridiculous. It wasn't a bad throw by Pep, it was just a great play by Porter turning around, stoping his momentum, and returning it for 7. He is an athlete.

I'm not worried at all either. This is probably one of the best teams we wil play all year. We played good but couldn't close it. We just got to play hard all 60 minutes. Culpepper will rebound from this. Saban wil not let him have the same type of performance. We got shout out by the BROWNS, and came back to win 6 in a row. We lost the first game to a GOOD team. We will be alright.

good perspective from carter. now that the hype is over, what was the hype about? it wasn't saban, he hasn't proven anything yet, the defense? not with an all new secondary of other team's castoffs. the o-line, nothing there, the receivers? same as last year. ronnie brown? hasn't done it yet. Plain and simple it's about Culpepper. He's the reason for the insane optimism. He's the guy who has to win it for us. And I'm optimistic. i think he can play better. And we gave him the chance to win it for us and he came up short. That's what we want. I can't imagine the defense or running game being much worse and we were still in it with 6 minutes against the Steelers at home. it'll get better.

Cris Carter has always seemed like a class guy and a good announcer unlike those ignorant ******s Michael Irvin and Primetime.
