On the NFL Network, Cris said during the 98 NFC Championship game that he was so nervous, he didn't want the ball with the game on the line.

I find that extremely interesting for one of the best recievers of all-time.

He was a Dolphin at the end of his career, correct?

What kind of impact did he have for us?

The only real impact he had was to chris chambers. I think he caught like five passes the whole time and I think he even dropped more. But from what I heard he gave chambers that veteran guidance a rookie needs.

the only impact he had was he dropped a TD pass that cost miami the playoffs, other than that he had zero impact

Dropped the ball in the endzone, that was right in his hands, against his old Viking team that left us out of the playoffs.

god that game pissed me off... we needed that game, and since he dropped that TD pass, we kicked a field goal, then OLD *** gary andersen kicked like a 50+ yarder with his old *** foot amazingly which beat us...

Yeah I remember that, but in his defense the ball was tipped right before it hit his hands.

Yeah that was the second to last game of the season against the vikes. All wee needed to do to make the playoffs was win 1 of our last 2 games. We lost both. The last game we lost to the pats in another close one.

:dolphins: yea he caught a TD pass and as soon as he caught it he spun the padding from the goalpost that says dolphins to face the field .It was pretty sweet!

He had a minimal impact on the field probably because he hadn't played for some time. But he was able to be a mentor to Chambers and I see a lot of Cris in Chambers. I'm pretty sure they still keep in touch and pass on advice. Cris did the same thing to Larry Fitz and Randy Moss, two elite WRs.

No, but he did catch some sort of kidney problem that really f'ed him up-http://www.sptimes.com/2002/11/10/Sports/Kidney_test_sidelines.shtml

"MIAMI -- Dolphins receiver Cris Carter will be sidelined indefinitely after tests revealed kidney function abnormalities, the team said Saturday.

Carter, who came out of retirement three weeks ago, missed practice this week because he felt ill. When he was re-evaluated Friday by team physicians, tests disclosed the abnormalities.

Carter is scheduled for further testing. He won't play tonight against the Jets and didn't accompany the Dolphins on their flight Saturday."
