Antonio Cromartie had a great game in a losing effort. To think we could have had this guy instead of Allen.:fire: I don't think Allen is a bad player but CB is much more important position than S, plus Cromartie is starting on a 13-3 team compared to Allen not being able to start on a 6-10 team. We could also have had a guy like Manny Lawson with the pick. I felt this was one of Saban's biggest mistakes nd it really irritates me.

How about their left tackle whom we also could've had...

Especially when there are talks about moving Jason Allen to cornerback, and he's a safety. Not saying he can't do it, but the in-experience might be a huge factor. Plus, I do not know how good he is in coverage.

I still think that Jason Allen will be the next Troy. Just give Capers time to develop him.

I have been saying this for a while Cromartie is 10 times better right now than Jason Allen dreams of ever being.

Cromartie isn't starting yet, is he? I didn't see his name in the introductions.

Cromartie isn't starting and the Chargers were 14-2. Florence and Jammer start.

Not only is he not starting, he hasnt had that great of a season either. (has the same amount of Int's as Jason Allen actually)

Although i will say he showed some heart in this game. However, he was covering jabeer gaffney and rashe caldwell...

Marcus McNeil? Yea, that was an awesome pick by the Chargers in round 2. Picks like those are the reason why they are probably the most talented team in the NFL right now.

I knew it was a mistake after I had been studying the draft and it's draftees and talking to Jason Cole for the many months before. When they announced "Jason Allen out of Tennessee" I thought who? I figured I had studied all the possible top choices at 16: those who might fall, those we might reach for, but Jason Allen? Who the hell was that? Well, atleast there's still time for the guy to prove me a fool and I certainly hope he does so.

I had the same f'n reaction. I so wanted Marcus Mcneil for Ronnie's sake. Now look at us. Pathetic choice y saban

also on that note, is there a more YOUNG talented team in football then the chargers?

i could really see them going on a dynasty run with a new coach.

QB Rivers - 25
RB LT - 27
RB Turner - 24
WR V.Jackson - 24
TE Gates - 26
LT McNeil - 23
RG Deilman - 25
C Hardwick - 25
DE Castillo - 23
LB Merriman - 22
LB Philips - 25
CB Jammer - 27
CB Cromartie - 22
K Kaeding - 24

thats 14 young great or will be great players imo. with only 3 older 25....

thats ****in insane. :eek::eek::eek:

The Chargers d-backs played a big part in them getting beat: dropping a gimme INT on Brady's first drive, the head butt by the Charger player which penalized them and gave the Pats a first down.....I could go on and on. Cromartie looks like a good player, but I think Allen will be just fine.
