Aren't Channing Crowder and Vernon Carey both entering the final year in their contracts? It would be a shame to see them go.
 
I'm not sure about Crowder, but yes i believe Carey is. I personally want to keep Carey, he has played very well and should be a solid contributor to this offensive line for many seasons to come. Crowder i dont really think has lived up to my expectations, especially last year, he's good at times and bad at others, and i never see him becoming a real star on defense. Perhaps in the new system i'll be proven wrong, we'll see. I dont care if he stays or leaves right now.

look for Carey to be re-signed during the season...Crowder....well:foundout:
 
Crowder always like to dance after he makes one tackle but then disapears, Carey needs to be re-signed
 
Losing Crowder is no tragedy. Carey's another story. I'm curious how they're going to handle negotiating his contract. He's a RT with positive LT experience. I really wonder what stance the FO will take in dealing with him.
 
i'd like to see Carey stay,but Crowder,i just don't know...i think this season coming up is where he makes or breaks himself with our new FO.
 
I don't understand why so many people think Crowder is going to be a good inside LB.

He didn't show us anything last year when he moved inside for Zach.

He has always been a day late and a dollar short.

Give Carey the money and look to someone else for the future.
 
I think Carey is a good fit at RT, but so is Long. I really like Crowder, but I don't think it's the end of the world if he leaves

Because we didn't run a 3-4 last year. I know it doesn't sound like that big of a difference, but when your role is changed, even slightly, it can totally change your game.

I'm not saying he will be better, but there is a possiblility.

I totally agree. Crowder is too slow and is bad with tackling angles. The guy is just not very good. He gets pushed around and makes his tackles five six yards downfield. Chases plays. He won't be resigned.

We have to get a deal done for Carey. Definitely give him the money.
 
I'm definately all for paying Vernon Carey. While I like Crowder, he really hasn't shown anything that's worthy of being given a new contract.
 
we should keep them both. crowder will benefit from our D line actually taking on blockers.
 
Carey definitely needs to settle a new contract soon keep that Miami boy in town ..........Crowder as I've said when He first came here he's not a fundamentally good Tackler ..He does not Hit Low and rap His arms around the legs of the runner always Hitting high the runner is always getting a little more forward motion ....But He's a funny guy
