As the Pro Bowl nears, I thought it would be interesting to discuss which young players on the Dolphins might make future Pro Bowls. After reading a series on realfootball365, I gave my own opinions at my blog:

What do you guys think? Will those three guys make it, and who else on the team has a chance of going one day?

Brown for sure, especially if we get the line in good shape.

Crowder and Carey certainly have good shots.

I think Carey probably should've gotten more consideration for this year's Pro Bowl then he actually did, probably because the unit as a whole was bad.

I would hope that Jason Allen will enter this discussion one day, but they guy has simply got to get on the field.

i think brown has a good chance provided we run the ball a little more. chrowder needs to step it up a little bit. i was hoping that wess welker, randy mcmicheal , and ronnie and chris could make it to the pro bowl. i am wondering if roth can be a pro bowler . what is disturbing to me is our first round draft picks have not even sniffed a pro bowl and we pay the guys a arm and a leg in money so they should be pro bowlers.

I think crowder and brown will be pro bowlers for sure. Carey and Roth also might be in the future

I think Brown and Carey will get there ahead of Crowder. Channing's best shot comes when he switches inside full time. Carey is now one of the best RT's in the game.

Carey should have garnered consideration this year. At least enough to possibly be an alternate. I would agree, he probably went largely unrecognized because our line was so pourous as a whole at the beginning of the year.

Yea, Crowder will have a tough time ever making it from his OLB position in this defense.

Yeah that's what i think. Crowder is definitely Pro Bowl material & i think once he get's switched to ILB, he will be a pro bowler many times in his career.

Every one of these guys should make the Pro-Bowl at some point on there career. Channing has been very productive since drafted and i think he will make it in only a matter of time. Once he starts getting more sacks and a couple of ints to go along with his tackles than his chances are going to blow up. Carey dosent get alot of recognition but like Boomer said, Carey is one of the best RT's in the game. Brown just needs to get more than 15 carries a game and a solid line and he's there. Hopefully we can throw in J.Allen into the mix if he does well and snags a starting role this year.

For a #2 pick Ronnie Brown should be...and most likely will be. Carey was also a 1st rounder and certainly is showing vast improvement and seems on the right track to be. Crowder was a 3rd rounder and if you ask me a steal. He broke 100 tackles this year i believe and when Zach retires he will get a bulk of his tackles and will develop nicely. I think all three of them have good shot to starting next year untill the end of their careers.

Channing needs to step it up a little bit????

He was 2nd on the team in 2006 individual stats:
60 Tackles, 43 Assists, 1 sack, 3 passes defenced. This guy is the real deal and when zack retires next year you will really see him"step it up"

Roth doesn't get mentioned much because he hasn't been a starter, yet in a limited role he's shown he has the speed and strength to be a force.

Channing will make the pro-bown next year. Vernon will if the OL improves as a unit. Ronnie is ready to have a breakout year IF the OL improves. All three will make it.

My initial thoughts when i first read this thread...I believe once Roth becomes a full time starter we will have true play makers on both sides...It will be great as Jason finishes his career we will get to see Roth slide in as a dominating force on the other side and my prediction is the first year Roth is a ful time starter he will be in the pro bowl...

Props to kevin carter for being a great leader and a solid player, but Roth is going to be great ill bet my life on it... GO DOLPHINS
