Crowder is Terrible!

I don't really post here much, just like to read what everyone else is saying, but on this issue I need to take a stand.

Channing Crowder is terrible. He stinks. I watch every single game and since he has been on the team I have not seen him make one single meaningful play. He might have a forced fumble here, or a recovered fumble there, but it's nothing special, nothing any ordinary, average LB couldn't make.

I'm sick and tired of people and the media saying this guy is good, or hailing his play. He is an AWFUL tackler, I see him routinely get steamrolled. I don't care how many tackles he has per game, I always see him out of position, trailing a play, or half heartedly trying to make a tackle. He is SOFT and his ball skills are non existent.

We need to draft some new ILBs, and get rid of Crowder in the off season. The guy has shown nothing to me, at all. Aside from Porter, our LBs are invisible out there.

I'd take old Zach Thomas any day over the no talent Crowder. The guy makes me sick he is so average.

Well, you can blame it all on Parcells and Co. They should have upgraded EVERY SINGLE position on the team in ONE offseason. I know I would have if I was GM. :rolleyes:
 
I agree Channing is not a pro-bowl linebacker but you are going way to far. He is an above average linebacker and if we can sign him back for cheap, i say we do.
 
Yes he is very average. Hopefully we will be drafting a MLB or 2 in the draft, and then possibly let him go, or keep him for depth, if his asking price is right.
 
He's the weak link on our defense. But I guess it's okay for now. I think we will be looking for a MLB in the draft. We need a bigger, stronger "Zach Thomas" out there.
 
problem is they are apparenlty talking EXTENSION! wtf is that about dude? unless their plan is to go after OLB to attack the QB and the MLB just to clean up tackles I dont see the point in it.

I know we will go OLB 100% in the draft but maybe they plan on having Porter and the rookie OLB to rush, then CRowder and Akin to clean up tackles?

Crowder won't be resigned. He wants a pay raise and isn't worth what he is making now. You will have to produce to stick around on this football team and he just flat out doesn't produce. Period!
 
It's nice to see you all rally around your hatred for Crowder.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that each of you will be very disappointed when you find out that Sparano, Ireland, and Parcells don't agree with you (when they re-sign him)
 
crazy how every other player seems to ge love but crowder. lets allow everybody else to develop but screw Crowder. Its taken three years and jason Allen has not cracked the starting lineup but keep him and get rid of crowder. crowder is 25 years old and is a good linebacker, its stupid to get rid of him.
 
I do agree that Crowder doesn't make enough plays. And I do think that he should not get a real big contract. But I also believe he is 25 played in 3 different defenses in 3 years and still has not reached his potential. When he blitzes he doesn't get the sacks but definitely gets to the QB and hurries the throws. I don't think we just let him walk if anything we put a tender on him for say a 2nd round pick. I think we can do that not sure tho????
 
he is only 24,

however if you have noticed he has gotten better statistically with each year. he is at 59 tackles so far this season in 8 games. his career best is 61 in 16 games.

he is improving, I wouldnt sell him short just yet
 
Well Sparano seems to really like him... He mentions the guy positively in half his press conference.
 
So we go from Pennington to Ronnie to Crowder. Somebody always has to be under the bus. The first two proved a lot of you wrong, I imagine Crowder will too. Not to mention you act like he's been awful. He hasn't been great and he's missed SOME assignments, but all in all he's a solid LB and a good tackler, not to mention a hustle player. So quit your bitching.
