Did anyone else listen to the Crowder show tonight on WQAM. Crowder said some interesting things about Patrick Turner. Now I am paraphrasing...but the just of it was this:

1. Turner has caught more 1-handed balls than anyone he has seen over the last 5 years.
2. The guy can't run route worth ****...
3. He will be good but we have to give him time.

So, I am hoping that this guy isn't a bust (a category I have been leaning towards.) Hopefully Crowder isn't full of crap. I hope this guy develops into a real play.

I've never been able to understand this ... How hard is it to learn to run a route?

He also said that if he had to chose between a clean open hit on Brady or a hit on Rex Ryan, his response was Ryan and that he may get lost in his belly button.

I don't know. Is he confusing the routes, forgetting them entirely, misjudging his marks, or just screwing up the timing of the route? There's a lot that could be wrong. I'd think you could simplify it in order to get him on the field once in a while. Since he's not our best guy, he probably wouldn't be going up against their best guy, either.

Yep, I heard that one too!!!:hi5:

He was making fun of Ryan quite a bit with the "crying" episode.

That's what I would think. With his height, I would start with just getting him to run a fade in the endzone. How hard could that be?

Mark my words, one of these days, something hideous is going to bore right out of that guy's stomach just like in Alien. Lord knows what that guy's eaten in his day.

Figured as much. Brilliant hands but his routes need work. That explains everything. I wish all of our WRs suddenly wake up tomorrow morning with Prime Marvin Harrison cuts in their routes. That would be sick.

Also, lmfao @ Crowder on Rex Ryan. We gotta keep him in Miami just for the comic relief.

Mark my words when Turner gets his chance he's going to be a stud. I'm not saying a #1 WR but he'll be similar to another #84 we had a few years back.

Now I want to see the guy play. In preseason we only saw him get thrown to about a dozen times.

It would be nice to have a blow out game agains the Bills...then maybe he might get put in for a few.

Lmao@ lost in his belly button that was classic!... Its not only physically running the routes its knowing the routes as well he's having problems with that aspect also

if running routes were easy we wouldn't see so many 1st round WR's become huge busts

Gil Brandt said that WR is the second hardest position to learn

if all a guy had to do was learn routes it might be easy

these guys have to:

- learn the offense

- learn to read defenses

- learn to beat press coverage

- learn footwork and catching techniques

- learn to run x number of routes at y number of distances(3 years later and Ginn still can't stem a sideline comeback worth a damn)

wow that is alot

, probably just as bad as cutting open jaws. I would say a tire, small child, lisence plate, jay feidler, wanny's stash..and thats just the first stomach.
