"They can't make a run without the delivery man throwing a ball to all the weapons they have," Channing Crowder told WQAM's Joe Rose show. (from Omar Kelly)

Channing Crowder doesn't have to filter himself now, but you'd be simple to think THE ENTIRE DEFENSE doesn't feel the same way.(from Omar Kelly)

I have no idea what he is talking about. Confused.

I think Wake's tweet "#3words Defense Wins Championships" from last night kind of confirmed what they think of him, too.

I hear Daball likes to spread it.

Sour grapes!

How is is sour grapes. If it was he would be stating they can't make a run without a qaulity defense or it will be difficult now without him. He didn't.

That quote specifically, is in no way sour grapes.

Now if he critiscized the team as a whole then sure. But he complimented the offense by saying "all the weapons they have"

He may or may not be right, (as compared to Omar who rarely is)...but by the same token, we also really didn't have a formidable defense when our tackling ILB bounced off offensive players 50lbs thinner. :idk:

This is what I have been saying about this team.....I am not worried about anything on the D,OL,RB,WR or coaching our only problem right now is can Henne get the job done.....the weapons are there, we have the talent on both sides of the ball. On offense we can score and score quick if needed and the D can keep the score close.......only worry is can Henne take the next step and drive this machine......if he can't we have to hope MM can get it done, if they can't the next regime will be a QB away from a playoff contending team for the next 5 yrs......

I would say that having a QB to make plays more consistently will do wonders in helping improve the OLine and the RB situation. That being said, I think I would still put worry on those 2 positions, as well as the QB spot and the TE spot for that matter. We also need some proven pressure opposite of Cam Wake.

For a team that CLEARLY wants to run the ball, a coach that has come out and stated that is the type of offense he wants to run . . . and your interior line hasn't dominated since the latter parts of 2009 and the entire 2010 season, and had a very bad showing in the first preseason game . . . that isn't a great sign for success.
