Anyone think Crowder can have a rookie season like Vilma? Those are definately high expectations, but do you think he has the ability to be as dominant so early in his career?

I dono about a season like Vilma, because Vilma was far more seasoned, but Channing is really gonna be something special and he's very young.

I don't think Crowder has the maturity to play as Vilma did as a rokie, but I believe he will have a good season and will turn into a great player sooner rather than later.

Vilma was NFL matured at UM, Crowder did most of the production on his own. He'll have to work to become dominant and elevate his game to that level.

nope... you have to have a starting role. and barring injuries he won't have one. But...I think he will be better than vilma.

with seau, thomas and spragan he won't get the playing time vilma got...

he looks great though, being able to play olb and mlb he will get more time...

No I think Crowder will basically play the same amount of time as the other 3, so he'll basically be a starter. The guy who'll have his playing time cut is Pope and definitely Moore if he makes it. I'd expect 6 LBs for us, including Glenn and Pope and that's all.

how did chrowder do last night, as a MLB , he only has like 1 tackle and 2 assists little low for a mike

Dude....

Vilma got playing time because they lost their starter. Who's to say that Seau won't get hurt again? I think he's starting because of his name. Seau is old. He got burned by Bect.... wtf..

No way. Call me a homer but any player out of UM is far more NFL-ready than most other schools. With that said, Vilma got a chance to start pretty early in the season. Unless someone goes down with injury, I don't think Channing will start this year.
It sure would be nice to have a Vilma on our team though.

Oh please. Coming out of UM doesn't mean more NFL ready. Sorry.

True, but I see a lot of UM stars out there in the NFL...

I also see a lot of busts.

Yatil Green
Kellen Winslow
Santana Moss
Jeremey Shockey
Ken Dorsey

And I could name about 5-7 others schools who have produced as many STARS in the NFL as Miami
