ppl say croyle has one hell of a cannon much like favre's but he is a risk due to his knees. Wasn't that the problem waiht marino as well but he stilled was great because of his arm? wasn't that also the reason why he dropped to 27...so maybe the same thing can come out of Croyle...what do you guys think? i have noticed tho, he does seem to overthrow receievers with the long ball or i can't say that but i have seen him make 2-3 passes deep n were all over thrown to open WR's.

Yes. Yes, he made "2-3 passes deep" and is now Dan Marino. End of story.

I'm still trying to figure out how anyone can compare someone in college to someone that's played for 13 years in the NFL on the same team?

I guess its just me. I can't see how its possible to compare "possible" potential to someone thats already had their potential realized.
Yes, there can be likeness between the two. But lets face facts, how many QBs in college come out like Marino, Elway, etc.? Diamond in the rough my friends

I'm more with the camp that we won't know until/unless Croyle actually comes into the league and shows what he has, but the fact is it is premature at best to make this comparison.

That said, Croyle hardly has to be Marino-like to be well worth the 2nd or 3rd I project as his draft position. If Miami gets him in the 3rd and he's just Bernie Kosar-like or Steve DeBerg-like, that's fine with me.

I like Croyle alot. He does have one hell of an arm and throws a nice ball. I wouldn't mind getting him, but if the team does well to finish the season we may see his stock rise alot.

Marino dropped in the draft due to bad senior year beacuse he didnt have his No.1 target, whom he would reunite with.

17 years.

I like Croyle as much as anyone, probably more than a lot of people, as my sig can attest. But honestly=Marino??????? No one will ever be the same as Dan,
