• Though the Dolphins are planning to put cornerback Chris Culliver on PUP, which would sideline him for six games, Culliver said Tuesday that waiting for Game 7 is “too long” and he would be ready to play after a game or two. He broke an MCL and ACL in a Thanksgiving practice with Washington last season.

Have to say in light of the CB situation, I agree with him.

I'd prefer he would be completely healthy before we rolled him out there. That is a pretty serious injury and if you rush him back it won't end very well. I admire the spirit but we got to be patient

I agree patience

Although how much patience depends on what howard and if forced in to play lippett look like

Tavon austins $30 mil guaranteed extension just set the floor for the coming after this year jarvis landry extension

I was reading jacksons tuesday 2 pm piece where it says miami sometimes will run the play clock all the way down til it ends before they snap it despite no huddle tempo

That screams dummy snap counts which is fantastic news

I know, finally. Hard counts, fake counts, running the ball, moving qb out of the pocket, all sounds like an NFL caliber offense.

Love the attitude. If the docs say week 1, 2, or 3, no pup. If later, pup.

Obviously this push to play is because Howard looks great and he wants to compete now for a chance :logic::chuckle::d-day:

I would put all three on the PUP and let them get to a full 100%. Although , I think Jordan is still on the NFI list. I don't know the rules for him, but Pouncey and Culliver shoud heal up IMO.

I like to give a guy a good start to his season. I hate it when guys have to enter the season injured and under the gun. It is a recipe for further injury.

NFI same as PUP basically except team has leverage as far as what they will pay the player.

I mean yes and no on the waiting. Ekpre was eased back in and still got hurt. If the docs say he is good to go run him out there.

Of course I may have this stance because of the condition of the secondary.

We've come a long way from GO and GO GO.

He has to heal first and then have a few weeks to get his strength and conditioning back. 6 weeks sounds about right to me.

Guess I was just optimistic. He was out there running per Armando and he said he thinks he could miss maybe one or two games.

Im just afraid where we may be at record wise when he comes back week 7.

Maybe you're right. I guess it all depends on where he is at in his rehab. Sooner would be awesome.

I 100% agree, even if he is ready within 2 games of the season, it would be better to be cautious, and give him more time to heal fully. We could actually need him in the 2nd half more then the 1st, so best to be sure he is ready.

it will also depend on how well Howard is looking. Hopefully he can stay healthy through this week. Reports say he looks fantastic. Even Omar has raved about his abilities.

Hes a competitor and he knows Howard has the job right now and if Howard plays well he won't lose it. Culiver will be locked out of the starting lineup
