I think that we lucked out schedule wise. If Culpepper is not ready to start against Pitt on Sept 7, we have 3 easy games against Buffalo, Tennesse and Houston before we play New England. All three of those games are winable no matter who is playing quarterback. Truthfully Culpepper is probably better off setting Oct 8th as his return date instead of Sept 7th.

he'll be ready sept 7th trust me, i talked to him last night and he told me, lol j.k, BUT he did tell the world that

I'd rather not have Culpepper making his first start in 10 months, in a new offense, and with a new team against NE.

Wrong. We need Pep for every game. It doesn't matter that we play 3 easy teams in a row. Pep will make the team even more stronger and we score even more points in a game then our backup. You can't forget that we do play the defending SB champs in the season opener. Pep will be really needed for that game. Facing the #1 rated defense and having your backup QB starting doesn't work out to good also.

There are no easy games in the NFL Dolphins vs. Texans........:shakeno:

But, if we get a good backup QB, we should be fine.

I am just not getting where everyone thinks of any of these games as easy. I'll bet Panther and Bronco fans thought they had an easy one against us last year, and look what happened. Remember opening day against the Texans recently. We thought that would be an easy one. And buffalo, like the Jets, will always give us trouble, no matter how bad their team is.

I think you're underestimating some of those teams. Right now we dont even have a backup qb so how can we be so sure we would win those games without culpepper? Some people here think we should have Lemon as the main backup. You mean to tell me you think we can beat Buffalo, Tennessee and Houston with Lemon at qb? I would like Daunte back asap.

[mod] Not appropriate. [/mod]

These days you can't assume anyone is any easy out this far away from the season. For example, Houston will have the additions of Bush and Moulds. Moulds being a guy who kills us.

Moulds hasn't really hurt the Dolphins the last 2 seasons.

Horrible idea.

You want your franchise QB to make his first start in 10 months on a new team, in a fairly new system, etc. playing AT New England? Wow..

ya i wouldnt really worry about moulds tearing it up against you guys this year.......what i would be worried about is him being able to get andre johnson open......kinda like what he did for Evans the past two years......thats why moulds hasnt killed u guys the last two years......hes gettin old so he tries to draw coverage on himself so the other guy gets open......unfortunatley he didnt like doing that anymore at the end of last season for us

nah playing his 1-st game against NE wouldn't be smart...i actually think that playing weaker opponents like Houston and Tennessee would actually benefit him. Even tho the system is similar it still takes time to get in a rythm with all new teammates, especially for a QB. and it can be a huge confidents booster for Daunte.

I didn't say that we would win all of those games. I am just saying that those 3 teams are weak compared to the rest of our schedule. I would much rather face Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Tennesse and Houston, the first four games of the season without Culpepper, then have Culpepper doing something stupid and coming back before he is ready and reinjuring himself. Honestly whoever is the quaterback, even if it is Lemon, we should not be worse than 2-2 going into the New England game.
