Culpepper, Emergency QB

Was in Sabans PC, they are trying to rehabilitate him enough that he could possibly become an emergency QB in future games.

What is an emergency QB? Would this mean rotating Harrington and Culpepper in games?

Edit: He also said Joey has an opportunity here to...then stopped short, Said noone knows what is going to happen but they are trying to get Daunte back to what he was before the injury because in his current form everyone we played was blitzing the heck out of him because they knew they could get to him and he needs to be fully mobile like he was prior to the injury to be able to get the ball out and stop the blitzing.

Just means he's #3. Which means he would only play in an emergency resulting from QBs 1 and 2 getting hurt.

An emergency QB would be one that would have to play in an emergency... like if the #1 and the #2 QBs got injured in 1 game...

Untill Daunte gets back to full mobility he is our #3 QB. Saban doesn't want to risk his future franchise QB (we hope) to possibly get injured further, doesn't want to play him untill he gets back to 100% and can play the way we feel he can (2004).

In the meantime lets hope Joey turns into a super QB that could give us some good options in the future.

This player is designated the "Emergency QB" and cannot take the field unless BOTH other QB's have been in the game and have left. Once the "Emergency QB" is activated the starting QB may NOT re-enter the game.

Basically means we won't be seeing Daunte in any upcoming Joey games...unless the OLine gets him killed.

Joey is gonna get bumped and bruised...but it's highly HIGHLY unlikely that we will experiance two game ending injuries to QB's...even with a bad game. If Joey comes out...we will see Cleo running for his life...
