I know we expected and still expecting from him a 400 yds, 3 Td's game, but in terms of solidness, he has been solid, he has has only 1 TD in 2 games and 3 interceptions, thats bad, thats not solid, but he has surpassed the 250 yds in both games..., thats very solid in my point of view, TD's are not ALL for being solid...

If he has 1 or 2 bad games after a season ending injury, I think its not valid to critizize him, more even after changing from team and learn a new system...

He has been very solid in Minny all of his seasons except of 2 (his rookie season and the season-ending injury which was last season)

I say, give him time and all the team and dont be desperate, even after a slooow start, it will all get better!!!

GO FINS AND SMASH THE TITANS!!! :dolphins:

i think most of it has to do with the lack of running, i have been saying this he has not looked bad, he was sacked 7 times, the recievers were getting knocked around all game,so he had to hold onto the ball

if the phins would let ronnie out of his cage we would be alot better

I have to start by saying, the knock on Culpepper coming to Miami was the turnovers and that he is NOT clutch. These two things have been proven 100% thus far. However, with a horrible showing from the O-line and running game there is not a qb in the league that could be successful. People asking why he looks jumpy in the pcket is because he is being pressure EVERY PLAY!! In conclusion, I agree with the original poster our 0-2 record can not be blamed on C-Pep.

Who cares about how many yards he has. This is pro football and the Ws are what matter. Daunte looks confused alot of the time. Besides the OL looking like crap, Daunte is paid to make $$ decisions and so for he hasn't earned it. I liked what I saw from him against the Steelers for the most part but now he needs to focus on getting some points up on the board. KILL THE TITANS!!!

He jas not been clutch, but he will, believe me, I saw his confidence in his eyes..., last year at this time we were lacking, but remember the great finish of our QB's, starting by Frerotte and Sage..., McMichael hasnt been hot yet also as many players, we are still kinda fresh, but expect great things against Tennessee...

You will see not only the clutch, but a 2.8 sec 0 - 100 540 HP V Turbo!!!

you are 100 right, look it what happend to peyton last year against pittsburgh, any qb with how our offensive line and how we have not run the ball would do the same thing

people talking about brees, brees has had to face crappy teams if he was here he would be as bad if not worse

Im torn. I like what I see out of Daunte but then he'll screw it up but throwing into triple coverage when we are in the red zone. He def. needs to work on his decision making. I will agree that Brees hasnt had a challenge yet but hindsight is always 20/20. I said from the get go his fumbling would be a big concern, HE HAS SMALL HANDS!! The guy had more fumbles than he had starts! I will say though he never had a TE like McMichael so he should use that to his advantage. Anyways thats my thoughts.

I agree. Look at Michael Vick. He may not have the QB rating equivalent to Peyton Manning but he wins games. I'll take W's over stats any day.

Good luck defending yourself in this thread.
x2

"solid" is probably one of the worse words you could use to describe him. You can't go by his numbers alone. You have to look at game management and what he does for the team. I'd rather Daunte throw for 100 yards and a touchdown and us get a "W" over a 250 yard outing from him and a "L".

He is just not healthy yet. It can only get better with more time in the offense and the line coming together eventually like last year.

If miami loses which i hope they dont this weekend i want you to comeback to this thread and defend yourself cause some of your posts are non sense.

this post is not nonsense. culpepper will be fine and any sports fan that can see past two weeks in the season, or one week from sunday, understands the difficulty it will take for daunte to recover from his injury. despite not being ready he has been SOLID. not great, but solid considering the plays he has made with this o line. again, no where near great, not even good, but solid.culpepper has been a C. he would not be getting all of this hate if we had won those games, and one man does not lose a game.

The dolphins are paying Millions to a QB who is the slowest thinker in the league.. The guy simply cannot read defenses and make read progressions.. It's gonna get more and more and more ugly before it ever gets better..

Now that teams see him they can gameplan against him. Blitz the hell outta him and mix a coverage here and there and C-pep is lost with his tail between his legs.. It's quite simple really..

How people can have faith in such an inept QB between the shoulders i will never know. Blind faith has ruined alot of people's lives through history .. This culpepper guy simply doesn't have it and will never bring Miami to the form of respectability.

With all things considered, I also believe he's played pretty well. You can tell he's not as comfortable as he would like to be, but it'll be scary when he does. Remember, he played against 2 pretty good defenses.
