Hello there Dolphin fans. As a fan who has watched Culpepper through his entire NFL career, I thought maybe I could provide some insight. Culpepper is a very gifted player with a monster arm. He has great accuracy. And given the right conditions can be a pro-bowl QB. There are some drawbacks however. I have seen this season after season. Culpepper will provide an A game for you if the following conditions are met.
1. Excellent protection
2. Superstar receivers
3. A big lead

The problems Culpepper has had in Minn. were all related to those things. He doesn't read defenses fast enough to get rid of the ball except to the dump off guy or a long bomb to a superstar. ie Randy Moss in the early years. He has a tendency to fumble when hit. If playing from behind he consistantly makes bad decisions. He has done this his whole career. I am not surprised at his start with the Dolphins. The knee injury has slowed his mobility some and that magnifies things a little. But I see the same basic problems that I saw when he was in Minn. I just thought maybe you would like some insight from a big time fan. Good luck on the rest of your season. Except of coarse when you play the Vikings.

I've heard a lot of this sentiment from you guys.
Thanks for stopping by but I certainly hope you're at least a little wrong in your analysis.
So far however, the problem with reading defenses and resorting to dumping the ball off or eating it are what I see right now.

By the way you're going to get raked for the comments by some.

:tantrum: You should of sent us this information six months ago. I believe you are right and commend you on letting us know the great news. Maybe we ought to go out and trade for Randy Moss.

*sigh* I wish I could but hes right... CPep needs to have players step up and be great in order to make HIM great. Wes is the only one out there even trying to get open from what they show on TV.

Protection... His feet are the best protection he has right now. Our O-Line has got to be the worst ranked in the league by now.

I dont see why he should be raked. He is just expressing his opinion and hopefully all of the responses will be in the same vein.

Thx for the input. That's what many of us remember about him but its good to hear the feedback from those who saw him week in week out.

The best advice I could give to the Dolphin fans is don't boo C-pep. That will make him play worse. He has a very thin skin. The more pressure he has on him, the worse he will play. At least that has been his history thus far.

Problem was he was sucking before he was getting boo'ed. Which is why hes been getting boo'ed in the first place. Real simple way of not being boo'ed, Dont Suck.

yeah.....he is struggling. The Moss factor.......why can't Moss help anyone else? Kerry Collins? Aaron Brooks?

Cullpepper is simply recovering, he'll get better.

The fragile ego makes sense. He actually didn't look too bad in the 1st game against Pitt until the coaches put it on him to try and win it in the last 5 minutes...result was two picks, the first was a poor throw into double coverage, the second he made a poor read with Porter and that was returned for a TD and Daunte has looked like a rookie without a clue ever since IMO. Hard to believe he is a 7 year veteran the way he is playing right now.

Collins did go from 21 TDs and 20 picks in 2004 to 20 TDs and 12 picks...looks like a better year to me. Also, I have heard from several sources Moss played last year with limiting injuries the whole year. Besides, it is Oakland...

It has all been said many times. People were understandably optimistic about him. There is only one guarantee with Daunte at the helm, you will experience the highest of highs and the lowest of lows with him. I don't remember him ever being consistent and plodding down the field like a player should at this stage of his career.

Isn't this something that GOD (aka Nick Saban) ought to have known before trading for the guy? I think Daunte in Miami is "Rick Spielman's Revenge". LOL

he did so well, they got rid of him.......sounds like an improvement to me. And Brooks....how's THAT going with Moss?

I heard Cullpepper is playing hurt too.( sarcastic ) sorry......easy target
