New Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron said that he has spoken with QB Daunte Culpepper a couple of times already and that Culpepper is making a good impression on him. “Your players, they only have a limited amount of time to impress you quickly. Early last week, I went by the weight room early one morning, and there was Zach Thomas working out. That doesn’t surprise any of you. But, then I went around the corner, and there was Daunte Culpepper. He was in there early, doing the rehabilitation he needs to do, and that’s where we are at this point. And that’s what’s important. I think anytime you’re building a relationship, you take it one day at a time, and so far, we’ve gotten off to a good start.â€Â
Can we finally stop the talk about Culpepper being released? Pep is going to be the quarterback in 2007.

He is an interesting nugget about our AFC foe:
We hear that RB Corey Dillon told teammates in the locker room following the Patriots’ loss to the Colts in the AFC championship game that he was done as a player and would retire.

If big talk translated to on field performance, Daunte would have been playing in today's pro bowl game.

Wow about Dillon...

Good Info. Nice to here Pep is so commited. All the critisizm will hopefully motivate him to do what he has to do to come back and win.

"...that's where we are at this point."

I'm sorry but that doesn't sound like certainty to me.

It is great to hear that DC is already rehabbing but there is still the matter of a contract that needs to be restructered.

I've been saying this all along.

thanks for the update though.

I fully expect cpep to be there next year.

Dillion probably just said that as leverage to get more money

Cpep can work out and do all the right things,........he did last year. If it doesn't translate on the field it all means nothing

Highliy doubt his contract will be touched.

This is why I don't get the talk about Pep lacking a work ethic. It just makes no sense to me.

It seems like Cam is saying its a work in progress.
and interesting on the Dillion part.

 The article indicates he is still going through rehabilitation and you are the one who has assigned him to be "the quarterback in 2007." Also, sounds like the exact same situation as last off season. It was so fun this past year let's do it again.Apparently Cam has put you in charge of decision-making but I didn't see that in the article. Do you have another link for that?

Of course he is still going through the rehabilitation, as he just had surgery a couple of months ago. What I meant was that Culpepper is going to at least enter the season as the favorite to start. He will not be released/cut in the free agent market that begins in less then a month.
