He did not. he was set to sign with Miami but Saban chose to go with Culpepper because of Brees's injury as well. Trust me i followed that season like if it was I who was gonna sign with them. It was a blown move by Saban and his all star coaching staff. Oh well its old news now. Im very pleased with Henne.

I don't know how many of you guys remember but the year D.Brees was drafted everyone thought @ the end of round 1 that Miami was going to draft Brees......but they didn't. I don't remember who Miami drafted, possibly a CB but I was as shocked as everyone else. He was right there for the taking.

Guys relax, we have our Drew Brees on our team right now in Henne.... Matter fact henne will be better then Brees Don't Worry Trust ME.

It wasn't so much the offer as much as Saban was a cold fish and drug his feet and screwed us in the process. Brees never felt wanted by our management and New Orleans rolled out the welcome mat...So it was our screwup, just like when we didn't draft him. Then when Wanny dragged his feet with Matt Hasselback, we had him too, and Wanny wanted to think on it some more and then Matt and his Agent said screw them, told Holmgren he was their if they wanted him. Hell, not sticking with Huard for a year or two, but bringing in Fiedler to start instead began the whole run. So, bad string of events since Marino was forced out. DOH!
Being a Canes Fan I never root for the Noles or Gators, but Against Saban.....GO GATORS!!!!

I'm a Bills fan but I was watching it w/a friend of mine that was a die hard fin fan and I'll tell ya......if the TV we were watching it on wasn't 50inches, he would have tossed it out the window.
