Culpepper ready for season opener?

John Clayton, on the 6 p.m. SportsCenter, said the following regarding #8:

"This one is a miracle and I think everybody down there last week at the minicamp would agree with this. Because not only should he be ready for the start of the regular season, he'll be ready for the start of training camp and, in many ways, he's ready right now. He's run everything in this offseason program: the minicamp, the eight OTAs, all these different things. They conclude tomorrow, but so far he's run everything in the offseason program and, because of that, they think he's definitely going to be ready for not only training camp, but the regular season."

When the interviewer said "and to think what they got him for: a second round pick..." his face cringed as if to say, "that's scary good!"

Yeah, I agree the guy is great...

Hopefuly Daunte will be ready for the season opener, maybe not 100%, but he will be ready...

I personally prefer for him that if he is ready to play, but he isn't 100%, to rest him...

As for Culpepper, I didn't believe the reports back in March saying he'd be ready for camp. Now, it's reality. I'm so pumped. September 7, HURRY UP AND GET HERE!

I'm not suprised if he's ready for the season anymore. I expect for him to be ready for the opener. I won't be suprised if he is ready for TC even. If he does the two-a-days in TC and doesn't suffer any setbacks, then that's the final process of him showing us that he is almost at 100 percent and ready to go.

I think it's kind of at the converse right now. I would be suprised if Culpepper ISN'T ready for training camp and SHOCKED if he INS'T ready for the season.

Yea, I pretty much feel the same. I might be a little more leniant towards him not being ready (100%) for Training Camp, but I'm pretty confident he'll be ready for Week 1.
