Culpepper wanting MORE money...

Vikings | Culpepper's agent to begin negotiations

Sean Jensen, of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings QB Daunte Culpepper's agent is expected to begin "scheduled" contract negotiations with the team to make Culpepper one of the highest-paid players in the league.

1. Isn't he already like on a 100 Million dollar contract?
2. Isn't he coming back from a major injury and should prove something before asking for the best money around?
3. What did he do besides 1 great season and a couple of good seasons?
4. Is this only a way to get booted from the team for demanding too much?

Anyways, I find it curious and thought I should post this since alot of people here want him in Miami next season. Personally, I have no problem with that, the more talent, the merrier... but not at any price.

He is ridiculous he just came off his worst year and a serious injury and he wants to be one of the highest paid players in the league. I don't want him even sniffing around the Dolphin lockeroom stay in Minny and if they pay him there GM should be fired.

I think he doesn't wanna play for the Vikes, Brad Johnson didn't do bad there, Dante SHOULD be able to do better, and if he can't what's that say about his skill?

He COULD be doing this just to leave minn. I mean OBVIOUSLY hes not gonna get the money he wants, especially when brad johnson outplayed him. If he does leave, the only team that could really afford him is Arizona...and that would be a perfect fit for him, and arizona could draft a good RB and be set for offense.

A cheap way of trying to leave. But he could get screwed like TO.

Lets not be bandwagoneers here. Just because the man did have a bad season doesn't mean suddenly he's lost it.

Brad Johnson was efficient, but not much more (and I like Brad Johnson as a QB) for Minnesota. Minnesota, which is known for its high octane offenses, had one of the worst Os in the league. It's defense stepped it up and helped win a lot of its games while Brad Johnson helped with the leadership on offense.

But Minnesota making Brad Johnson their guy? He's a few years away from retirement. Some plan.

I would love to get Daunte.

not like that one is a shocker. anyway their contracts aren't guaranteed anyway so I almost can't blame em. almost.

He's an overrated bum that is the reason the Vikings didn't make the playoffs this year. His decision making sucks without Moss around to carry him.

That's amazing. I just found a quote from Wilf about the qb situation there.
