Culpepper Won't start working out until March

hey why should he?...dumba** dolphins paid him to be lazy!...2years outta football, and still can't walk...THAT MY FELLOW FANS IS YOUR HOPE FOR THE FUTURE!...good luck...

I really dont mind keeping him and giving him a shot. But we CANNOT ignore QB anymore. It will be hard to fully evaluate DC before the draft if this is true, and we CANNOT risk going into 2007 with him being an unknown. Joey and Cleo are backups and not starters and we will not improve with them at all. DC gives us a shot to be good, but who knows what he will be like. Just to many questions and negatives for me. Time to solidfy the most important position on the field. Draft a QB-find us our next Greise and Marino (both first rounders and our 2 best ever QBs FYI).

WTF ?! March!!! If that's the case we have to draft a QB. Man I hope Brian Brohm declares

How do we know this?

Anyways, we should draft a QB. Meuller used to take one a year.

What is the downside that Culpepper starts working out in March? Training camp starts in july. He needs to rest his leg.

That was the same speculative statement made by Steve Young. He also said he had missed some meetings, and that rumor was dispelled on MNF when Theisman said something. Also, if you listened to the whole thing they said he's rehabbing now to regain "range of motion, strength, and explosiveness". I'm sure working out means, doing things with WRs and football related issues. That's not out of the ordinary as well. They usually starting cranking those things up right about that time for mini-camps in April, May, June.

The question is whether you believe Steve Young or Joe Theismen.

Guys, you need to calm down and take a look at the facts before you start the bashing. Culpepper is doing his rehab at the moment and there's no point whatsoever in starting with football-specific workouts until the rehab is done. Just take a look at the first four games to get a glimpse at what a rushed rehab is causing. Waiting until March makes perfect sense. There'll still be ample time to get in shape for training camp. Besides, it's absolutely common in the NFL to start working out in the spring. This seems like another instance of much ado about nothing.

No, Joe said that Steve wanted him to say it because what he (Steve) said was wrong and since he was already off the air, he wanted Joe to clear it up. So, Joe was just relaying the message from Steve.

Let the doctors figure what is right. I think the knee comes back and he is solid. By the way, if you draft a QB think what the vets (Taylor and Thomas) would think of the organization. Are you willing to let them go if they request it?

Nobody cares about CPEP anymore. Right now, he's damaged goods, a head case, a guy who played poorly prior to getting hurt, and a wasted 2nd round pick. Imagining CPEP 100% healthY and playing to his old All-Pro level is like fantasizing about who the Dolphins will draft. Forget about it! This team is imploding! Enjoy the crash! :sidelol:
