Dolphins | Culpepper's attorney wants charges dropped
Wed, 22 Mar 2006 10:00:30 -0800

The Associated Press reports an attorney for Miami Dolphins QB Daunte Culpepper asked a judge Wednesday, March 22 to throw out misdemeanor charges against his client stemming from a boat party sex scandal. Culpepper, along with free agent RB Moe Williams (Vikings) face misdemeanor charges of alleged lewd conduct that includes touching a naked woman during lap dances. Culpepper's attorney argued that even if the players did receive lap dances during the boat party, it wasn't a crime.

i just hope he doesnt have to sever jail time

i dont care if he gets fined
just as long as he doesnt miss anything

to my knowledge he doesn't have any priors and this is a misdemeanor charge. I would be VERY suprised if he had to serve jail time.

Well Ive never heard an attorney say he wanted charges on his client to be pursued

But seriously Daunte seems like a great guy and he didnt do anything wrong I dont think

What is wrong with touchin a girl? How can you get in trouble for that? He wasnt molesting her or anything i dont understand.

There are probably laws that state you can't touch a stripper, probably will just be a fine if the charges aren't dropped.

First off, if you believe Culpepper, and I'm not sure why he would risk felony perjury to escape a misdemeanor, he DIDN'T touch any girls. He didn't even get a lap dance.

He says he shot craps the whole time.

Add that to the fact that the DA elected not to charge two guys who ADMITTED impropriety, but were white, and you have a case taht I think will go away.

Possible in the technical sense, yes.

But extremely unlikely. Unless he urinates on the judge or something.

"Guilty, Guilty, Guilty!"

"You can go to Hell, Hell, Hell!"

I have a question though, what could the NFL do to him if he is found guilty? Regardless of jail time.

NFL? Nothing, really. At least they wouldn't. It's a misdemeanor.

Tell you what, if the DA pursues a trial over this, Minnesota should kick him out of office. Talk about a waste of taxpayer money. Don't they have any actual criminals there?

Thanks... Yeah I agree... Complete waste of money. With the amount of money they are spending on this, I doubt the $1000 fine they referenced his fine could would help out much.
