Anyone know where our current cap stands after trading for Thomas and trading Albert?

Who do you think our next cap casualties will be?

Right now Miami has $42,444,383 in cap room. This includes Thomas and Albert not being on the team. Tannehill and Suh combine for a 39,400,000 cap hit which is almost 22% of the team.

Notables who should be cut:

Misi - 4.3 million to be saved
Jordan - 3.2 million to be saved

Question marks:

Pouncey - 8.9 million salary but a 5 million dead cap hit.
Maxwell - 8.5 million salary but a 5 million dead cap hit.
Abdul-Quddus - 5 million salary but a 3.4 million dead cap hit.

cutting Misi, Dion Jordan, and losing Stills should save us some too. That's plenty of money to get "quality" (aka: not over-priced) guards and linebackers.

Stills' cap number is already reflected in the amount I listed above. Cutting Misi and Jordan should get Miami back to 50 million.

That number actually includes Julius Thomas salary, he's got a cap hit of $7.1M...we'll see if it gets lowered after the deal is officially pushed through.

what if we wave bye to Pouncey and grab Mangold. What would he command and what could be his cap hit on a cap friendly deal?

Many teams have big cap space and many teams need guards. Don't be surprised if we have to pay top $ for a "quality" guard. It is a position of need and it will be in demand. I'm not so worried about finding linebackers.

Misi and Jordan absolutely have to go. No question about it. That should free up enough to re-sign Andre Branch.

With how many players under contract?

My dream off seasons
Either warlord, Leary or Zeitler
Sign Brandon Williams
Sign aj Klein
Sign Micah Hyde or Truman Johnson
Resign stills
Resign Jenkins and paysinger
Draft lb or guard with picks 1 and 2
Draft pat elefin from Ohio state g/c very god player and great kid

We have money to spend on guard and Brandon Williams
Other signing will not break bank
With above signings we can go edge rusher, LB and guard with first 3 picks. We can even move up in 3rd with one of our 5s to grab someone we really like. In addition trade both 5s for a 4.
Thoughts?
