Wilson has 8 million in guaranteed money. Normally, the guaranteed money on his contract is pro-rated over the course of his contract. If he were to be cut, the signing bonus would be accelerated forward and I believe it would put the Dolphins over the salary cap. So he will not be cut this season. As for next season, since it's uncapped, if he keeps up his current pace of play, he will likely be a goner. Hopefully he will pick up his play and we won't have to worry about all this. Can somebody clarify the cap ramifications of cutting Wilson in an uncapped season?
