I like Tannehill but I have given up on him . This season was a Make it or Break it year for him and he is not even going to play . Cut him before March 4th and draft one of several stud quarterbacks that are coming out next year and develop him .

Actually last year was a make it or break it and over his last 8 games he went 7-1 with one of the best deep throw accuracies and near elite level stats once the Gasesystem kicked in. This year was supposed to be icing on a tasty cake.

I wouldn't cut him. There are cap implications and not knowing how he will recover it is stupid to outright cut him.
Personally I am concerned that at least mentally it will affect him and prevent him from continuing being a starter. But that concern is not enough to just cut him. For christ sake we invested 6 frigging years.

Keep him and draft a QB (I don't even know who will be available next year) or get another QB via FA next year. Either way you have to run on two rails and insure yourself.

RT is our franchise QB
It is unfortunate what had happened, but plenty of QBs have fully recovered from worse.
We will roll with Moore, and if he struggles, then Cutler will get the call.
I dont have high expectation for this season, but the players have a lot of pride and I expect them to play hard.
RT will be back in 2018 despite the wishes of some.

Not really. Barry Jackson explained earlier.

Of Tannehill’s $17.5 million for next season, $5.25 million is “base guaranteed” in the event of injury, meaning he would be entitled to that – or an injury settlement – if injury prevents him from being ready for next season and if the Dolphins want to release him after this season. But his $17.5 million salary isn’t guaranteed until the fifth day of the league year next March, allowing Miami to cut bait if it chooses.

If the Dolphins surprisingly cut him, his dead money on Miami’s cap next season would be $4.6 million. If he’s on the team, his cap hit would be $19.8 million.

Moore will not start barring an injury to the Starter, Cutler. We didn't pull Jay out of retirement and superrr good paying job to backup Matt, plus I'm sure coach Adam Gase assured him it was his job to lose. Come on get real

Absolutely stupid and not happening. Tannehill neglected his body and the price he should pay is a mid round level qb for competition.

He's still an elite level talent on the cusp of being the guy that none of the idiots here can hate on. This thread is total troll bait.

Tannehill getting old already, will be 30 next year and will have not played in an NFL game in almost 2 years. The writing is on the wall, his days as a Dolphin appear to be numbered. Such a shame too because Miami was putting the pieces in place especially on offense. Now they'll waste a year or 2 of young talented players and established veterans while they look for another QB. Then they'll have to get that QB experience and by the time he's ready Miami probably would have lost key players to FA and retirement and will be rebuilding all over again.
