Cutler hooks up Doughty for #6 jersey

The fact that he gave him even more that they agreed on was cool.
 
Kind of an expected "gesture" to give Cutler his #6 jersey, and good on Cutler for making a good first impression as a teammate.
 
The arm talent is there. And frankly, Gase is probably the only coach Cutler's respects enough to listen to and put all of his issues behind him to play the best he can.

People need to be reminded we have Gase and that he is not like any other HC we've had in decades.

RT went down and the fans give up on the year. Cutler is signed and people start to jump off ledges.

Last I checked, Gase produced the best years in both QBs. Time to relax and truly believe in our HC. It's no accident everything he touches comes out a winner.

Believe in your HC and his decisions. More often than not, he comes out on top.

Cutler can deliver on the field and Gase will make sure of it. Do you honestly think he would pursue Cutler and risk his own job if he didn't believe in the guy and his abilities?

We are fine. Stay the course.
 
Im guessing he only asked for 5k or something.. Cutler knowing he will make 100x what the kid will in the nfl probably gave 20
 
Been trying to find out the exact figure but I read somewhere Doughty mentioning he wished it would have been "a four-figure transaction" so sounds like it was under a thou-wow.
 
Since Cutler is incentives based I was told so was the Jersey Deal. The equation goes something like this:

Yards thrown x INTs / TDs = Cash paid.
 
If you know the guy coming for your seat is bigget than you and is for sure gonna ask you to give up your seat, make the gesture and make a friend rather than dealing with the possible humiliation of losing your seat in beatdown fashion. Smart move imo.
