Cutler, per the Arlington Daily Herald, intends to give his input on the team's final roster.

"I think they're definitely going to ask me," Cuter said. "If they don't ask me, I'm going to tell them what I think because I've got to be the one throwing to them on game day, and I've got to trust them."

Look, the extent to which the starting quarterback and his receivers work together has to be a significant factor in shaping the depth chart. But there's a line, somewhere, that the quarterback shouldn't try to cross.

Publicly indicating that he intends to chime in on who should stay and who should go probably is on the other side of that line.

Cutler is a hell of a QB, but hes quickly nearing the thin line of arrogance Brett Favre crossed some years ago.
 
Cutler gives new meaning to the word DICK. I am so happy he is no longer in Colorado. He is probably the biggest baby in the NFL.
 
Dont really see a problem with what he is saying. In fairness, a QB should be consulted when a team is addressing their receivers.

Yeah, what a baby...he actually cares about the players on his team and would like imput. What a dick...lol.....so ridiculous.

When Denver falls on its *** without him this year, we'll see how happy everyone is in Colorado.
 
Sounds like Jay doesn't trust the opinions of his coaches or FO.....The same people that picked him up.

We wear caps and sleeves at this level son.

After Orton's 3 int's against the 49er's, no one in Denver is happy right now. I was out at a couple of bars last night and most everyone was whining for Cutler, not about him. Only a small handful of fans were in denial and still thought the Bronco's are better off with out him, otherwise the Denver fans were irrate. I know a rash judgment shouldn't be made after only one pre-season game but it certainly seems as though it's a sign of things to come.

I agree, im my mind it does make sense to consult Cutler about the WRs. I also agree Denver messed up big time trading him.

But none the less, if the Bears FO wants to ask for his advice fine, if they dont, its not Cutlers self proclaimed right to go let them know. They pay him to throw the ball not to spout off roster decisions.

Its not about what hes says usually, its how he says it and how this guy goes about doing things. "If they dont ask, well ill just tell em anyway." Really? Speak like the higly paid professional you are. He just comes off as an arrogant baby latley, and i used to be a huge fan of his coming into the leauge.

Brett Favre 2.0 all the way. Skill and personality wise to a tee.
 
Jay should stick to managing his diabetes.

I didn't mean it as an insult to diabetics. I just remember Madden and Michaels always talking about how he manages his disorder during the game.

Peyton Manning yes, Tom Brady yes, Favre when he was with the Packers all those years, yes.

A guy who's been with his new team for a few months? No way in hell

And the excuses begin again! I have to agree with some of the others in the thread, QB's that have history and major accomplishments should have input when it comes to offensive players joining the team, as theyre input could improve that team. Cutler does not deserve that same treatment; he doesnt have the years, he doesnt have the accomplishments, he doesnt have the maturity to be unbiased and do whats best for the team.

And on a slightly different subject that probably doesnt belong here, calling it now: Cutler will lead the league in picks this season.
