D. Bess needs to be used more as a WR

He is only on pace for 30 catches and 200 yards (roughly) which is not exactly ligthing it up but for some reason I really like him. IMO by next year he is going to be out slot receiver and is going to be making a lot of plays for us. The guy runs great patterns and has great hands, long and short of it is I think he need to be given more opportunities.
 
I think alot of changes will come now that Ginn has broken out because the middle of the field will now be open for Bess.....but one thing working against him is how GOOD Fasano has been...he has the ability to dominate the middle of the field...i hope he breaks out and comes into his own...i have always liked guys like him he has never taken anything for granted and gives 150%
 
I think that the success of Fasano and David Martin for that matter has limited Bess' opportunities. Make no mistake about it though, when Davone gets his opportunities in the passing game he takes advantage. Great hands and solid route running.

agreed, I just love the routes he runs and while he is not 40 fast he is quick.
 
I actually have been suprised by Bess this year. For barely even making the team, he looks like a sure steal especially being undrafted. I look for real big things to come out of him. I just cant wait til this young inexperienced receiving corps just explodes. I think significant progress has shown.
 
His opportunity will come over time, I really look forward to seeing him blossom for us in the future.
You guys have already said all his good qualities, and I think he is a great steal for us.​

I know most of us like Ginn back there more.
BUt i have NO idea why some people are soooo down on him being back there.
He was VERY solid.

He looks really good after the catch has a real knack for making the first guy miss.
Bess will be a miami dolphin for years to come.
 
I just don't understand why he is returning punts instead of T. Ginn! I love D. Bess Tho he will be a good slot and is now!

What is solid to you? Catching the ball and not fumbling MOST of the time? Honestly, his average was below average (22 with a long of 32 I believe), he had absolutely ZERO ability to break one. and...well there is nothing else. He just isn't a good kick returner.
 
I wonder if they were using Bess to hide Teddy until towards the end of the season?? That is when it is really going to matter if we have a guy back there that can break it. If Teddy broke 2 back early in the season teams are just going to squib the ball down the field and his return abilities are mute. Could have actually been some type of grand master plan, or I could just be way over analyzing.

Not a good idea I believe. If Ginn is really THAT much better, put him in from the beginning and make the opposing team squib kick from the get-go. Will put us in better field position in every game.
 
Bess has outperfomed his draft position or lack thier off and is playing over Hagan and Wilford but to this point has seemed nothing special to me.
