TE D Lee could be out to, the team is not very happy with him...

Wannstedt also seems intent on evaluating the play of second tight end Lee, who has been flagged for various penalties in the season's first two weeks. Those penalties probably would be acceptable on an explosive offense, but not on Miami's 27th-ranked unit.

''There's only one solution for these people who are repeat violators of turning the ball over or [committing] penalties,'' Wannstedt said. ``You can't play them because they get you beat.''

What do you think, I think he is a good TE, but he do some mistakes in this two games, penalties...
 
That's what he should have been doing for 5 years now, Dave...Thanks for joining us.
 
He better not, he is young, was the best blocking TE in the draft last year, and when thrown too, did a good job last year. Cutting him would mean bringing in Jed Weaver, which means double the cap number, and just cutting away our future. That would be 3 draft picks last year cut, 2 for no reason, and Lee will be picked up within 24 hours. I thought Lee was the best player drafted last year.

So we have Wade Smith and Taylor Whitley struggling on the O-Line, Eddie Moore can't be found, and 2 picks cut, maybe one more. Good Job Dave.

No one is getting cut, doesnt say it anywhere in the article. All it says is brightful is gone, he was saying Smith and Lee may be benched because of their play recently.

Yea, benched not cut. I hope Lee does get benched this week - way too many holding penalties against the kid.
 
This is an emotional conflict. Getting rid of Donald Lee would be a mistake. The guy played well last year and I don't specifically remember him being a penalty problem. They just need to work with him on what's allowed and what's not. I believe he was just trying a bit too much too compensate for everyone elses blocking issues. He's still considered young in this league but just after some early penalty issues you don't let him go. He's probably among the top 10 2nd tier TE's in the league. Work with the guy.

Really. Dave is always right on top of things. No one has to hit him upside the head to open his eyes. He is always cutting edge.
 
This should fix all of our problems. :shakeno: I KNEW all of the blocking problems were Donald Lee's fault! I expect 50 points next week.
 
All this reminds me of JJ cutting that cat who fell asleep in a meeting when at Dallas. Hmm, sounds like JJ gave his buddy Dave a call after the game?

Bench Donald Lee.

Promote McIntosh to starting LT.

Move Wade Smith to TE spot when in the double TE formation. Let Randy Mac run pass routes and Wade Smith be a large athletic blocking TE.

Just make Wade Smith the quarterback and let him take some hits. That way he can watch and actually see how blocks should be executed.

Oh No...with the way he moves his hands he will fumble all the time..
maybe QB at practice
