Apparently D-Mac played a decent game against the Bucs. If this team is going to do anything this year on offense he must play well. Thoughts.

agreed.....

i also heard that carey didnt play all that much....what was his deal?

I agree as well. One of the threads mentioned that they were resting Carey last night, unfortunately, I don't remember which thread it was, but I did not think he was hurt or anything of that nature...possibly to see how McDougle responded to being demoted to the 2nd team?

Well, McDougle didn't respond well as he had I believe two holding penalties and didn't keep his man blokced long enough on another play that almost resulted in Gus getting killed.

Just identify the five best OL we hae and find a way to get them on the field together and leave them there. It's the only way they'll mesh into a cohesive unit and we won't be playing Berlin at QB in week ten from our other QB's getting killed.

I believe Rice was in for a while in the second quarter. Nothing of note happened with that, so if he did he must have either done ok or had one of the holding penalties on him.

He should have been considering Simeon usually lines up as an RE. But then again, I didnt hear either of their names last night which obviously is a good thing. Looking at last night's stats, it doesnt look like Rice even registered a tackle so im not sure if he even played.

Agree. McIntosh needs to play well. As for the false start penalties; I don't believe they're a big deal at this point. Those are often caused by being unfamiliar with the QB's cadence. Once a starting QB and O-line is decided upon I look for that area to get cleaned up.
