D.Patterson has stepped up and played really really good in my opinion. He has been a little injury prone but when he is in there it's clear we are better in secondary. Grimes is a stud and he has played his heart out. My only concern is when he's matched with receivers like A.J. Green the ht difference hurts him. My disappointment is in R.Jones. I loved him last year but he seems to be kind of a "dead head" out there. I don't see that killer instinct he once had. But anyway the point is a CB's are so much better than last year it's unreal. If Jones could get going like before with our D-Line and LB's we could be scary good on D.

"Killer instinct" isn't Reshad Jones issue... it's just "instinct" that he has a problem with.

Patterson is playing at a high level right now. Gotta stick with him and hope the best on injuries in the future. The Duo of Grimes and Patterson is giving the front 7 some confidence to get the job done. I would be very happy to have them the next couple of years as our CB's. The younger guys will have time to develop and hope they can over take Wilson & Carrol as the Nickel & Dime backs. I do like Wilson in QTR or 3 Deep. Wilson will lay the wood and plays aggressive while this has backfired many times, but it adds something to the defense that can be positive in the right formations.

Wake is looking healthy and he is the spark the defense needs to fix the 3rd and long issues. We are not getting pressure on 3rd and longs and this has been a major factor of the secondary struggling trying to cover 3-4 deep routes with a solid option underneath. If Wake can come back and just get his pressures that alone will get a few more TO's.

I saw Jordan on a play look as if he has an injured shoulder. He tried to jump swat at a pass and it looked just like most people do when he was coming down dipping the shoulder in effort to cushion when touching down. I have asked in several game day threads what is wrong with him. He reminds me of Wake's first year with the team. Guy normally sees very few snaps, but has an impact on most. But Wake got a lot more looks off the edge on 3rd down than Jordan has to this point when comparing those years. He looks to be a great DE in the future. I just hope his college injury does not limit his career. Anyone know why he has not been playing more snaps?

Jones is coming off a career year to this point in his career. This year is not really close in making big impact type plays. I still have faith in him and had it since we drafted him. He may not have a great year as a whole, but I do think he will turn it around and play better.

Clemons has been Clemons... Great speed, good vision, and average tackler. He is a consistent player that plays like a starter just not a star. He does not have to be the star as the defense is pretty damn good.

The Front 7 has great depth on the DL and the LB's have played well as a unit. We have missed some starters with injuries, but the next guy up seems to show he belongs on this team. This is one of the Best DL in the game. We have some rotations that will cause a fit once we have all our guys healthy and playing on it. This is what we need to help win the big games by not letting the star QB's pick us apart. I think this team can still have a run at the playoffs. If the offense get its **** in gear and runs a balanced attack, then gotta think things look good for the rest of the season.

I don't care if guys rip them here with their play-by-play jabs. They play at a high level that would give most offenses a high chance to win the game.

i thought the same thing when i saw that play happen, weird. hopefully it is nothing

It'll be interesting to see what Patterson's value is in free agency, he's playing well while he's in there but he has a hard time staying in there.

Big fan of Patterson. He's played his a$$ off for us when healthy. Funny thing is that a whole lot of ppl on here wanted him cut to save a few million dollars. Kid is def worth his money

Patterson... 4 interceptions in 4 games this season
Sean Smith...5 interceptions in 63 games with the Dolphins

i saw that too... makes me nervous.
Worries me as I have not really seen anything on it. They are hiding it or I am just not reading the right articles..lol. If it is in an injury and he is playing though the pain on limited snaps, shut him down until he is healthy. We need someone in place for life after Wake in a few years.

its a nice pair of dbs we have in him and grimes. the guy seems to get hurt every other play.

If he can remain healthy and our rookie corners can progress, next year's secondary might be formidable. I love having playmakers in the secondary! When was the last time we saw a 90+ yard int return going in our favor!

Patterson is a good CB - only issue is the nagging injuries.
he is 30 or so to, so hopefully the young Cb's that were drafted in the 2nd -3rd round will be on track for 2014.
if not the fins passed on some good talent this year.
Robert Woods, Kenaan Allen (who I wanted) and a ton of others.
hope the blue print is working!

Relax there dude with your man love. When is this guy gonna last a season??? I'll wait before I love anyone on this team until I'll get a winning season. And I don't mean 9-7....I'm talking 10-6 or better:crazy:
