Everyone is talking about how Dallas defense is ranked #1 the league, so I decided to look into it. Looking at the stats prove to be pretty interesting. So let's break it down, shall we?

I am showing 2 rankings - the first is yards/game, the second is points/game.

Sep. 7 Atlanta Loss 27-13 * 30th / 21st
Sep. 15 @NY Giants Win 35-32 (OT) * 3rd / 25th
BYE WEEK
Sep. 28 @NY Jets Win 17-6 * 18th / 19th
Oct. 5 Arizona Win 24-7 * 25th / 32nd
Oct. 12 Philadelphia Win 23-21 * 21st / 14th
Oct. 19 @Detroit Win 38-7 * 31st / 30th
Oct. 26 @Tampa Bay Loss 16-0 * 8th / 13th
Nov. 2 Washington Win 21-14 * 24th / 17th
Nov. 9 Buffalo Win 10-6 * 29th / 31st
Nov. 16 @New England Loss 12-0 * 14th / 15th
Nov. 23 Carolina Win 24-20 * 15th / 16th

Again, these stats beg the question: Who have they beaten?

Of course, Miami doesn't stack up well here either - 27th / 24th
But then, neither does Dallas - 16th / 22nd

I guess all this really shows is that the kickers better get in some practice time before Thursday.

considering we are #1 and #2 in least PTs allowed - http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/statistics?stat=team&sort=ppg&pos=def&league=nfl&season=2&year=2003 I am glad there is no infield dirt in Dallas. We are also 2 of the best run D's in the league though the big difference is that Dallas is #1 ag the pass and we suck :( - http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/statistics?stat=team&sort=pypg&pos=def&league=nfl&season=2&year=2003

time for JT and Co to find a way to reverse that trend by putting on QB pressure like they did in the 2nd half last night
