I know it's a small sample size, but think about this for a second. Dallas is touted as having one of the leagues best lines. Two bad QB's played behind this line and accumulated 7 losses in a row. Romo (above average QB with injury) comes back and plays behind same line and gets a win. If Miami's line played better, would we still be an average team? I bring this topic up because most people claim that if our line played better, our QB play would improve.
Is it possible that an average QB is an average QB behind any line? Weeden and Cassell could not function behind that Dallas line with a running game because they are below average QB's and it's hard for a tiger to change it's stripes. Just proposing a discussion topic because I've been thinking about this situation. Would we get average QB play regardless of the line he is behind? I know there are some that will say that when he has had time, he has played well. There are also others that say when he has had time, he still takes stupid sacks or lacks playmaking ability. What do you think?
