The Cowboys are especially intriguing because they have an extra third rounder and fourth rounder from previous trades, and you can never rule out Jerry Jones.

Above is what Rotoworld reported, but the report is not complete. Schefter said The Cowboys cannot be ruled out. He said that there is talk indoors at Dallas that they want JT. He went on to mention that Jerry Jones wants to make a big splash, and that they have a 3rd and 4th. He finished by saying that Parcells knows Dallas personnel like the palm of his hand and that if JT is traded to Dallas players would probably be included.

I think Zach is playing a big role on this. Taylor has probably expressed to Zach that he would like to play for Dallas, for a number of reasons. Dallas gets lots of media attention and are close to a SB. I think this will happen, because during the report Schefter went on to say how Dallas is overstocked at DE, and it made me think that if JT is traded it would probably happen for one of those young DE or Ellis and a pick.

Very interesting stuff

Their first and third or their third and a player or two.

i personally wouldn't mind if JT went to Dallas...1: he'd be reunited with Zach,2: Dallas is a contender for the SB,and 3: they're alot closer to the West Coast where JT can go off to Hollywood.....but,i'd want one of Dallas' draft picks, either their 3rd or 4th rounder and one of their players,if i get that,i send JTs *** to Dallas.

Smells like Roy Williams will be involved...hmmm

With the abundance of Safeties we have , I dont see how they would include Roy when their are rumors he might be released. The trade I want is Greg Ellis and their 4th for JT. Ellis has a good two years left and is very unhappy with the pressure he is getting from Anthony Spencer. Roy and Glenn are on the outs, and might end up Dolphins by the end of the summer.

I am starting to think he will end up in Dallas. We have no need for Spears now. I would think Carpenter would be involved. Maybe Anthony Henry, though I would prefer to go with younger guys with potential. Draft picks (not a first, get off of that pipe dream now).

For all we know, it may be a pick and a package of 3-4 young guys that may not THRILL us, but that would (in the words of Jeff Ireland) "bring up the value of the depth chart".

I said a long time before the draft that if JT is traded it would be to Dallas because 1. Jerry Jones always needs to make a big splash.....2. because it will reunite JT with ZT and make Dallas instant contenders. I really thought he would have been traded before the draft, but since that didnt happen, now Dallas's name pops up again from this report.

Dallas could decide to package picks and/or a disgruntled player such as defensive end Greg Ellis or safety Roy Williams that former Cowboys coach Bill Parcells knows well.

Bring us Ellis, please! Ellis could man the position for atleast two years while we find a replacement. With Ellis and Porter on the inside, and Ayodele, Crowder and a Rotating Reggie Torbor in the inside our LB corps becomes alot better. Vonnie Holliday and Ferguson would take care of the D-line with either Starks, Langford or Merling filling in the vacant DE position. Our front seven would all of a sudden have some potential.

Ellis is like a year younger than JT. That would be awful. I would rather a package of young (albeit unproven guys) than Ellis.

Carpenter and a conditional 3rd (becomes a 2nd if JT makes the PB, which he tends to do even if his season is just so so) would be a fine deal.

A glaring need on this team is the OLB position. Pace decided he wanted to be a stickin Jet and Gholston was not the first overall pick. Which Im glas cause I love the Jake Long pick. If JT is traded or retires you are left with a huge hole to fill. You have an unproven player in Quentin Moses and Average Vet playing out of position in Akin Ayodele. Ellis might be a year younger then JT, but just last year produced 12.5 sacks and is a Veteran player the young guys could learn from. The guy has not missed a step. Just because we are a young team does not mean you dont need a Veteran presence on this team. I dont understand some of you. You want this team to win with nothing.

Guys like Ferguson, Holliday, Ricky, Ayodele and Steve Mckinney are supposed to help this kids out. A guy like Ellis would come in and be a solid Vet that could man the position for the next two years until we find a replacement. Remember when we picked up Carter and how sorry you guys were for letting him go, well Ellis is a player in the the same role as Carter was if we get him. Atleast Ellis is not a Whinning twinkletoe Primadonna.

I want Ellis,Canty and Carpenter plus a 4th. The Cowboys have to clear a lot of cap space to fit JT even if he did restructure his contract. Ellis is pissed off at his reps in OTA, Carpenter is expendable because of Zac and Canty is looking for his Payday this year before he becomes a RFA next year. Jerry would be a fool to do it but hes done foolish things in the past.

Canty is a UFA. He is important to that team, they would rather have him for this year (and a SB run) and lose him for nothing in March, than trade him.
