He was not good on the run but, here is his run down in pass protect, at OG only

At RG

Buff- 41 snaps, 34 pass, 0 sacks, 0 hits, 1 hurry

KC- 71 snaps, 50 pass, 0- 0- 3

Oak- 74 snaps, 34 pass, 0- 0- 0

At LG

Jax- 50 snaps, 27 pass, 0- 1- 1

SD- 78 snaps, 42 pass, 0- 1- 4

DT- 48 snaps, 34 pass, 0- 0- 3

How bad was that at OG?

I don't know about guard standards off the top of my head, but I know what people said about him all season. We have to remember our offense was designed to get the ball out quickly too. That helps any line numbers we see.

Here is a fact. Dallas Thomas is not good enough to play in the NFL. He is currently on an NFL roster only for the fact a team drafted him in round 3 and is desperately trying to scrape something out of their investment.

He needs to continue to get stronger. Players continue to develop over the course of a career, especially along the trenches. It's a man's game and he needs to become one.

those aren't facts...total number of snaps should not be included on a pass pro only break down according to pff...only the total number of pass plays should be otherwise you are attempting to influence the results by posting total number of plays run and pass...when the run plays count is completely irrelevant

He gave up zero sacks at guard last year ?
That cann't be right.

I say cut bait on another bad Ireland pick.

he is starting rg with james like it was at college in tenn

I recall two games where he have up 3 sacks a piece to someone on Denver and Dumerville in the Balt game. Are you sure about those numbers?

I think he had moved to tackle by then but yea he got owned both of those games.

Keep him at guard and let him compete in TC. Unless he takes a significant jump you cut him. I know what I'd be betting on.

So where does this rate him with the rest of the RG and LG in the league? Still at the bottom?

Southbeach2 have you become an advocate for Dallas Thomas or has his agent put you on his payroll? (I'm just joking, but I'm surprised by the numbers).
How did so many Finheaven readers fail to appreciate/completely miss seeing the abundant talent of Dallas Thomas? Hayden did you see it? I didn't.
Gerald McCoy of the Tampa Bay Bucs votes for Dallas to remain on the O-line so he can reuse the turnstile.

I do not like Dallas Thomas long term, but we are short of players along the line.
Once we draft or sign better players, he should be shown the door.
Right now, this oline needs an infusion of new talent.
Apart from Albert, James and Pouncey, the rest are questionable journeymen at best.
I have hope for Turner, but he hasn't played against anyone yet.
Not sure how many oline guys we keep on the roster, but it looks like we need 2 new starters and 3-4 new back ups.
Coupled that with an aging defense, replacing the LB core, and finding another CB and WR, this team needs a miracle to remain competitive.
The years of bad drafting will haunt this team for 3 more years.
