Dallas Thomas gets another shot to start for Dolphins

Dallas Thomas realizes he's running out of chances to prove he's worthy of an NFL starting spot.
Because of a knee injury Shelley Smith suffered in last Sunday's 29-10 loss to Buffalo the Miami Dolphins will likely put Thomas, its 2013 third-round pick, in the starting right guard spot, giving him an opportunity to sink or swim based on his performance.
If Thomas struggles expect Nate Garner, a seven-year veteran, to replace him.
However, Thomas has failed in his two previous attempts at earning the starting right guard spot. He got the first shot at unseating an injured John Jerry in training camp of 2012 as a rookie, but struggled in the exhibition season.

Sometimes I seriously wonder about Philbin's judgment on some players abilities. Dallas Thomas is worse than Clabo was the first half of last season.
