With time on my hands I'm going back over some of last years games. Right now I'm trying to take a good look at Thomas playing guard. I re-watched him struggle against the Lions, he looked average against the Chiefs and Chargers - not great, but not horrible either. I trying to look at games that he mostly struggled while playing guard, can you guys give me some suggestions of games I might want to also watch? I appreciate any suggestions.

If you want to get a good sense of how Dallas Thomas played, I suggest inserting your hand in to a blender and turning it on,

Check out the tape of Gerald McCoy running train on him. Like welcome to the NFL type ****. Like retire now.

I am so not looking forward to the mini camp BS reports about .....how much he has improved and appears to have taken the next step BLAH, BLAH BLAH, BLAH.....just like last year and the BS Martin reports years before. He sucks, can we please learn from the past and move on from another Jeff Ireland gem?

Putting on the tap of Dallas Thomas, you say?

I just did the same thing a couple of hours ago. LOL. I was going to post about it but got caught up. I thought he did slightly better tan avg against KC and SD and terrible against SUH. I need to keep watching him after those games but to that point I thought he was a starter that wont hurt us. There were plenty of plays that failed completely due to horrible blocking and he wasnt the culprit most of the time.

So the 2 best Defensive tackles in the NFL schooled him?

Pouncey looked worst than him in that Lions game if I recall correctly.

Not getting on you, but in general . . . he made improvements from year 1 to year 2 . . . the idea that he can't improve while focusing on one position (which is what Miami hopefully does with him) just seems to be an unfair assumption. His worse moments came at RT, keep him at LG and I think he can perform like a competent player. This line needs continuity . . . not a bunch of moving parts.

Suh destroys just about everybody . . . people can keep continuing to dream and hold him to the standard of beat Suh or bust . . . fact is, he wasn't terrible at guard in the regular season. He was functional.

2nd half of the away buffalo game he replaces smith i think it was at right guard and gives up multiple pressures...on the ground multiple times but tannehill did a good job of evading his man otherwise multiple sacks in one halfs work...they may not count those as pressures but if not for the qb climbing forward on one of them that's for sure a sack and i think he gets run over on the other...

i'd have to look at the games again to give you more examples

that buffalo home game tho.....i know we won, but good god tannehill got hit all because of Thomas. I mean, usually you win a few battles as a tackle fighting an end of super mario's caliber, but that game was embarassing for Thomas.

wasnt he playing tackle in that one??? yeah mario williams beat on him...heck he got hit a lot vs denver too and i mean quick but tannehill got the ball out especially early to start the game on that first drive...thomas is getting worked over out the gate

only tannehill bailed him out in that one...but that was at tackle...

and dont even get me started on that baltimore must win effort from the right tackle...at least james was playing out of position as in taking one for the team playing the other side tackle...thomas was putrid

i wanted tannehill to get up one time and throw the damn ball at him dumervil was on the qb so much...rediculous really

some of those hits i saw tannehill take last year he should have broken his collarbone on...and been done...somehow never happened

Gonna be a real easy determination to make in camp regarding this spot. Put Suh in front of these guys and let them have a crack at slowing him down. The cream will rise to the top, and something tells me it is not Dallas Thomas....

He was, it was just too embarrassing for me not to point it out. Thomas just doesn't look natural at all at either G or T.
