DAVIE - The Miami Dolphins roster continues to churn, and General Manager Dennis Hickey doesn't intent to stop tinkering with his first NFL roster.
On Sunday the Dolphins waived receiver Damian Williams and safety Don Jones to make room for two players who were claimed.
Safety Brandian Ross, who was cut by the Oakland Raiders, and cornerback Sammy Seamster, who was cut by the Baltimore Ravens, have been claimed by the Dolphins.

They cut Don Jones? Wow. That guy was a beast on ST.

Don Jones was imo our best Special Teams player. I hope we've got someone penciled in that is as good as he was for our team. I'd like to see us bring back Damian Williams, the reciever. He looked very good to me.

Woah you would think Darkwa would be the guy the would let go of! Now it looks like we're sticking with five Wr's? Hmmm I hope hickey knows what he's doing!

Nothing against Williams, but teams don't often use six wide receivers in a game. Five should be enough to get you through a game and if you have to add someone during the season you can pursue that route at that time. I'm confident WIlliams, Binns or Cone will still be free agents at mid season.

Damian Williams will get signed soon, not only did he have a decent preseason but he is also a veteran WR. If we didn't have such a great receiving core, he could have made this team, but When Rishard Matthews is your 5th best option, anyone is going to have a hard time cracking the roster. Personally I think Hartline is starting to decline, lets hope it was only preseason rust.

Bummer. I liked both of those guys actually. Bottom of the roster churning is needed, but Jones was a hell of a ST player and Williams could step in and run a route well. Ahh well

Damian Williams is an experienced veteran who competed well in Training Camp. He is not eligible for Practice Squad, like Hazel. I wouldn't be surprised if he finds his way back on the roster if some of these new guys don't impress immediately. DW1 is an experienced pro and very high character. They know precisely what he can do. It may be that Ross and Seamster are both carefully evaluated by Coyle, Rizzi and Philbin and the better player gets selected, say Seamster and immediately after, the other guy, say Ross is dropped and his roster spot goes to DW1.

so will it be darkwa and Landry doing returns? Who else?

Damien Williams is in the mix as well. I thought that he looked very confident in the limited opportunities I've seen him. I wouldn't play Landry as a returner.

Agree not a good idea for Landry too vital in the passing game!
Id rather see Mliler try to return he has the speed to do it.
Williams does seem capable of returning!
I think Williams could win the starting RB position during the year.
